Rockledge is one of the best public courses in the state. It is kept in great shape. They have very reasnonable prices and an interesting course layout. A nice restaurant and pro shop as well. They have a driving range and putting green for practice as well. Only problem is alot of other people have discovered it and tends to be a little slow.

They have things like guitars and saxaphones but also the things musicians always need like stick and reids and music books. They also offer lessons at their convenient location in west hartford center. Prices are very reasonable and they have good sales sometimes.

The gifts here are a bit pricey but quality has it's price. They have very unique things that you would want to buy for that special someone. They have goods from all over the world and tend to be on the artsy side. Very nice gifts for your grandma or parent, great place to get stuff to decorate the house. Some trendy gifts, some traditional, either way your'e gonna pay alot but get great things. Worth it all the way.

Buena Vista is a little 9 hole course in west hartford that is great for beginers. The nine holes are pretty short so it is great for kids. Suprisingly it is jept up very well so anyone can play it. A couple tough holes even for expeirenced golfers. They type of course you can shoot in the low 30's though.

This isn't the largest museum of its type, but it's sure to provide hours of entertainment for the family. They have live animals (mostly lots of reptiles), a lot of hands-on type of learning experiences for the kids, special exhibits, a computer learning center, and a planetarium. Planetarium shows cost a little extra, and some of the shows can be a little slow, but the experience of seeing the star display is great for kids and adults. There is a big, life size "whale" outside that the kids can walk through. One criticism is that there is no dining facility at the museum, and there really aren't many dining options in the immediate area. The shop is small but has some good items. This museum is part of the reciprocal museum pass program where you can get free admission if you're a member of another member museum.
