If you are out shopping at Target or Home Depot, then your dining options are pretty limited. Friendly's is an option, and one of your Cheap Eat options. I ws surprised on a recent visit that service wasn't as slow as it had been in the past, and they seem to be making an effort. The host and waitresses certainly were friendly, and they seemed to care whether or not we were having a good meal. For basic dishes, it's about what you would expect. Some of the ice cream things are a bit expensive for what they are, though. We shared a Cookies and Cream sundae that came mostly melted, and we ended up drinking it like a shake (tasty, and I was happy, but husband really wanted a sundae). The appetizers are not very good. Always lots of kids there. Plenty of parking.

The gap outlet at the watertown mall in watertown mass is a great one becasue they not only have all the gap stuff at cheap prices, as they are an outlet, but the clearance racks are fantastic!! Some gap outlets that I have been too have pretty small clearance racks, but this one has a lot of stuff for kids and babies and so i always manage to find a great deal (usually many great deals!) the sales people are also great here, and they really help you find what you are looking for quickly

Definitely 5 stars! Very small but not crowded, plenty of space between tables. We went on Tuesday, but I would recommend reservation on the weekend. My veal marsala was delicious, tender, wonderful sauce, as well as my friend's chicken parmesan. Staff was very attentive, I can't wait to go again.

My wife and I have been to Grappa several times for date night. Inside it feels like North End and it's easy to forget that you are actually behind Target in Watertown. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The decor is kind of funky and hip. The staff has always been friendly and courteous. The place is tiny, so we always make a reservation.
Pros: Good food, reasonable prices, easy to get to
Cons: Tiny dining room
