This place is famous for a reason. They are a traditional Italian place with a wonderful selection of toppings for your pizza. They do a great job on the pizza and pasta dishes. We always try to eat here when in the area.

After recently moving from Chicago, it was time to pick my new favorite pizza in the new city - this time, thin crust. Of the several we've checked out thus far, Two Amy's come in first. The atmosphere is urban happy, a bit loud but that provide some energy. The pizzas are amazing, though - fresh, high quality ingredients and interesting combos. I'll be back many times.

This is my favorite restaurant. Others may come and go, hot or not, but this establishment is tried and true, always steady and excellent. You can count on Taberna Del Alabardero for outstanding food and impeccable service. I have taken family, friends, and even a boss to this restaurant and never have I been disappointed. You really must go and try it out - - it will be the best present you can give yourself. The cuisine of Spain at its best.

Sushi Taro is one of my favorite sushi places in DC. The quality of the fish is very good, even if you pay a premium for it. It is also well designed—clean, spare, and bright. I would definitely consider it one of the best places to get sushi in the area—their seaweed salad is inventive, and I really liked their ikura sushi.

I don't know how I never knew about this place until after I moved out of Georgetown. Their Swiss Honey Malt is to die for, and the prices are great! They have a variety of traditional and nontraditional flavors, as well as frozen yogurt and coffee drinks. While Thomas Sweet remains the place to go because of their mix-ins, if you just want a simple scoop of ice cream, try Max's.

I love the magazine selection at this Borders. They also have a nice cafe that serves coffee and tea drinks and snacks. The book selection is pretty good, and the staff is very helpful if you're looking for a specific book. There's a bargain section where you can get older hardbacks for less than $10. They also sell cards and gift wrap, and around holidays they sell themed gifts.
