The restaurant is incredibly dark and dirty. The waitress was really nice and efficient, and the food was standard Ruby Tuesday- pretty greasy, but sometimes you crave that! There were TVs in the dining room, not just at the bar, which was kind of distracting.
This restaurant is right across from the Gallery Place- Chinatown metro stop.

Coming from Philadelphia, the home of the jazz haus, I was elated when I discovered H.R. 57 on 14th Street, a bring your own drink established that had live jazz two nights a week. Well I've been there twice, and I'm sad to report that I was disappointed on both occasions. I'm still not willing to give up on the place, but I felt like I was watching high school performances rather than real jazz musicians.

Studio Theatre is a good place to see contemporary theatre from DC and around the world. It's productions have varied themes, some are local artests, the 2005 program featured Russian plays, and some are class performances. Some of the shows are rather dark, but the productions are high caliber and actors are skilled.

Andre Chreky is often called the best day spa in Washington DC. I'm really not sure why. Each time I was there, I was made to feel like I definitely wasn't a frequent client. I was lead to my room in the service elevator one one occasion and the room I had was on K street and no matter how skilled my masseuse was, the noise from the street definitely killed any relaxation I had. I felt really rushed and my pedicure room was not relaxing either. There was another client in the room who was on her cell phone loudly and nobody said anything!!

First Class offers low cost instructor lead classes on career, finance, arts and inspirational type topics. These are informative type courses which you would not find in your standard community college or learning center. They allow people who have a skill to teach that skill to interested people.
For example I took the The $100,000-a-Year Infopreneur class. It was taught by a knowledgeable person who started off with a "How to get a credit card processing account" years ago before even mail order became big. His class had good information with both how-tos and real life examples.

Are you one of those people who never have time to cook when you get home from work and end up eating the most random things, like hotdogs with flour tortilla's? Are you sick of eating out or getting take-out from the local greasy dive on the corner. Well, now you can have delicious home made meals waiting for you to heat and serve! Although this service is convenient, it won't save you money.
20 servings, 5-4 serving entrees $350
15 servings, 5-3 serving entrees $300
10 servings, 5-2 serving entrees $250
5 servings*, 5-1 serve entrees $150

This is a center for babies 6 months to 4 years old and they hold classes similar to what a child would have in a daycare environment. $220 for a 12-week session, meeting once a week for 45 minutes each session. Classes are really for infants/toddlers of stay at home parents. No classes are convenient for working parents and children. You can also rent out the place for birthday parties on weekends. I only give it 2 stars b/c I'm not a stay at home mom. I would probably give it 5 stars if I were.

I work in the same building as Lynelle and every day I walk past the window noting the absolutely cute and unique clothes and accessories they have in the store. But my experience with their staff is awful - they are so pushy it makes me not want to shop there anymore! Which is unfortunate, because they have different and classy, reasonably priced stuff!

This bar/restaurant is conveniently located just a block from Union Station right next to the postal museum. It would be a nice place for Capitol Hill Staffers to go after work except for one thing: the service is terrible. I went one time with a group of friends and literally we went 40 minutes without seeing a waiter. We could not even get a glass of water. The food is decent and their beer is very good, but the service ruins the experience. Fortunately that time we were able to get a discount just due to poor service.

Seeing as they only stock the most basic of liquors (they usually don't even carry tequila) and cases of only the most popular of light beer, this place is best only if you're in a hurry. Other cases can be ordered a few days ahead of time, but kegs are not on the menu ever and the wine selection is spotty at best as well. Prices are average.
