With so many restaurants to choose from in Woodley Park, I would suggest skipping this one. The cuisine is nothing great and the service is even worse. It looks deceiving from the outside because they have some great outdoor seating. But don't be fooled! Check out Cafe Paradisio or Lebanese Taverna instead.

If you're starving and in the mood for pizza, try one of the other places in Georgetown. However, if you've got some time, Domino's may be a good choice. From my own experience as well as that of my friends, you've got a good chance of getting a discount because of their slow service.

More
"Mom, why do they call this store Giant?" my 7-year-old asked the other evening as we were standing--for way too long--in the "express" line of the Giant Food at 3400 Wisconsin. "Good question," the man behind us laughed.
Indeed, the small store is about 1960s-sized, before the massive suburban groceries became the norm. But the written saga of this Giant could fill many pages. Here's the brief version: For years, the company and the neighbors have gone round after round of discussion over the company's plans to expand the store into the adjoining building which contained several other shops. Neighbors nicknamed the company's first proposal the Giant Giant. By the time agreement was reached on scaled-down plans, the economy took a downturn and Giant Food had new owners. But the other shops had been kicked out, so half of the building stands empty. Parking is always available.
The store has the basics, but that's about it. A neighbor once said she uses it like a 7-Eleven, for a couple of items in a pinch. It reminds me of going grocery shopping with my mom around 1969: eggs, hamburger, white bread and tomato paste for meatloaf, canned tuna and dried pasta for tuna casserole, peanut butter & jelly for my sandwiches, some canned vegetables, and sometimes, flour and chocolate for my grandmother's chocolate layer cake.
So why was I at Giant with my daughter? We didn't have time to bake a cake. We bought Giant brand ready-to-bake chocolate chip cookie mix, the kind that looks like a sausage and you cut with a knife and place on the baking sheet, where it oozes out into large-sized cookies 15 minutes after you get home. Times change.
It doesn't matter to me whether Giant expands the store. Unless it's a huge modernization that would include fresher vegetables and fruit, we are likely to continue to do our real weekly shopping elsewhere. But for those must-have one-item emergencies (like cookie night), I wish the checkout lines would move faster.

Mount Everest Restaurant Nepalese Tibetan & Indian Cuisine on 18th street has an extensive menu. The food was tasty, but I’ve had better in the area. The portions served to us were on the smaller side. I was very happy with my service but I would have liked to have more assistance when I asked what the restaurant specialized in.

One of my professors created a course packet for the class that we were supposed to pick up at Select Printing. I got there about 30 minutes before closing time, and they didn't have the course packet available. They also said they wouldn't be able to run off another copy for me before close--30 minutes. Another student was also there to pick something up that wasn't ready/available. In short, they seemed quite uncoordinated and unorganized I said I would have to come back another day, and they didn't bother to take my name or any info.
So I went to class without the materials, and once I got there, found that other students had been able to pick up the packet (Did they run out? Did the guy have no idea what I was talking about?), and it cost $35! It is quite a large packet, but I still think that's a bit steep for some photocopies.
I don't plan to bother going back.

I have only stayed at this particular Hilton hotel with a high school conference, so I am probably a bit skewed. The location is wonderful, near Dupont Cirlce and Georgetown. The staff is a bit lacking, I had to wait over five hours to check in to our rooms one year. This meant that I didn't have room keys for all the rooms until 11 pm! There is no excuse for this type of poor planning on the hotels part-this particular conference has been hostes at the same hotel for approximately 20 years!

Sette is a very sexy looking restaurant right off Dupont Circle. It strikes me definitely as a place to be seen, and is usually quite busy. However, I don’t think the food is all that special. You definitely pay for being in Dupont Circle, rather than for stellar pizzas or pastas. That said, it is all right, and better than some other options in the area. I would recommend going to 2 Amys for sure over this, though.

some stores i can go in and i immediately know that the buyer and i are in sync. Barami, I just get confused. half of the store, i know i could take home and would love each piece to death, and would adore wearing them... but the other half is so off the wall strange and out of nowhere.,... i don't know where they find them or why. regretfully, barami is expensive so there's no way i could take home even just the half of it i love. I'll have to settle for piece by piece.

Mackey's is a good place to go with friends or coworkers for a drink after work. The servers are friendly and handle the large groups pretty well.
However, I went there for dinner one night and it was terrible! The server took our order and it took forever to get our food and drinks. Then we couldn't get his attention to get refills, and the next time he came to check on us we were long done and ready for the check. At which point he said, "oh you don't want anything more to drink?" Not when we've been done eating for a half an hour, no. I was very disappointed with the service, and the food wasn't that great either.

The restaurant is incredibly dark and dirty. The waitress was really nice and efficient, and the food was standard Ruby Tuesday- pretty greasy, but sometimes you crave that! There were TVs in the dining room, not just at the bar, which was kind of distracting.
This restaurant is right across from the Gallery Place- Chinatown metro stop.
