The ambience is great; its a very cool looking restaurant, but I guess I wasnt cool enough to be there. I felt like the wait staff was rude to me and my husband, and were simply too snooty! The food was okay, but not great, very tiny portions, very large prices.

Back on 1/5/06, I picked up a pair of pants from Zips in Falls Church that had many light-brown stains. The stains were not there when I dropped off the pants. In addition, there was no tag on the hanger that said "couldn't get out the stains" when I picked up the pants. Only upon inspection in the store did I notice the stains. After pointing this out, they offered to try and remove the stains. To veryify that this was Zips fault, I even had the staff member I was working with write on my receipt that the pants were damaged during cleaning so there was proof in the future.
Three attempts later and some of the stains are still there. The Zips manager, Vivian, is now telling me that it wasn't Zips fault and will try no further to fix the pants. She said the employee was not authorized to determine how the pants became stained so she ignored his signed statement.
I really liked Zips until I hit this brick wall of denial.

More
Nestled right next to the Chinatown Marketplace Gallery metro station, and with two Chinese characters translating to "front and back" you will find the multi-colored themed restaurant Zengo serving Pan Asian and Latin fusion cuisine. The concept sounds enticing and foreign and my best friend and I sought to find out whether this type of fusion cuisine was a "go" or "no go". We ordered several of the fusion sushi rolls containing tuna and yellowtail. The rice on the rolls had an interesting texture and taste and although I have had better fusion rolls, it wasn't bad. However, the wonton tacos and the empanadas were much tastier! The wonton tacos were made of bite sized pieces of tuna and guacamole tucked into a mini rice filled wonton-taco shell. The empanadas were made of shredded pork and topped with a mango chutney. Their fusion mojitos also sounded interesting and looked delightful as well. The trendy ambiance and nicely decorated space makes for a great place for friends or a dinner rendezvous before a night out on the town! On a whole, I would say it's a Zen"GO"!

Zed's ethiopian is ok in Georgetown. You should check out Adam's Morgan though. Personally, I can't deal with the cuisine (The spongy bread thingy sketches me out) but I've been dragged to a couple of places in Adams Morgan where the service was pretty good and the group was happy...

The middle eastern restaurant itself looks gorgeous, and everything they serve looks gorgeous, but even I am middle eastern, and some of their cuisine is just not understandable. It's to wierd, they need to make it simpler and they need to make it taste better. Dont get me wrong, there a several really good plates, but some of them just taste really wierd (and I'm not biased b/c i have been eating middle eastern food my whole life). Its good to try out, not super expensive, but I've been there twice and dont really feel an urge to go back. They do however have great customer service, if anthing goes wrong they do what they can to make it right (our breadbasket napkin caught on fire from the candle on the table and it was scary, but we got a free meal)

Nice place to go on a Sunday afternoon. Their brunch is good, nice selections - not bad for 20 bucks! Being on the water is very romantic for a nice date. They do well with groups, just call ahead. If you go there to party, you are dealing with the more "mature" crowd so be prepared. This is your uncle showing up to pick up a chick!
