J.crew is the kind of store that I wish that I did not shop at, and yet I do. The clothing line seems perfect for the Washington DC conservative bunch with the argyle sweaters and monochrome suits. The clothes are well made, priced high, and never offend at the office. The styles are classic: the peacoat that I bought 5 winters ago is for sale every winter with slight variations in cut and color. The same boots are for sale. The styles are stale, but the colors are spectacular. If you are looking for something unique and frilly, look elsewhere.

Pretty decent store, kind of expensive.....a little too conservative for me. But for the right person they have quality clothing worth the purchase....

J. Crew is a great store… if you are tall. However, if you are short like me, all you feel is jealousy when you walk in the doors. I love their clothing, but nothing ever fits me. Sophisticated, quality clothing is what they sell at J Crew. And they do set some fashion statements themselves, as they display trendy patterns way before you see them in the windows of other stores. I never wished I was taller before I visited this store.
