Urban Outfitters is a new thing to me. In FL, if you wanted something from UO, you had to order from the catalogue or the website, here in DC, I have two to choose from where I can go in and raid all the sale stuff! When they do have sales, they go crazy! last time I got 3 pairs of pants for 2.50$ each; the time before that, I paid less than 25$ and left with 4 bags full of books and household stuff.

Lush has a bevy of handmade bath products that are the perfect end to a long day. They have a wide variety of great smelling soaps, as well as all natural lotions and hair products. My personal faves are the bubble bars (bubble bath in bar form), the massage bars (massage oil in bar form), and, best of all, the bath bombs, which explode in the tub and turn the water fragrant and inviting. There are so many different kinds, and they are almost all fantastic.

For those that are new to DC and are looking for a way to contribute to the community and to meet other other people new to DC, I would recommend joining Greater DC Cares. It's a nonprofit that organized community events around the area like neighborhood cleanings, work in soup kitchens, kids hospitals, etc, for evenings and weekends. It's also a good way to meet other young people. They send out an email every week for the upcoming events, and you simply respond when you're interested in participating.

Took my son to see the Wizards play. I got a package of tickets and sat all the way in the top. I was pleasantly surprised when I was that we were able to see everything on the court. The center is very spacious but the seats were kind of cramped. I had coupons for the food which was pricey as was the beer. They have a store there that sells items from all the teams that play there which is nice. Before the game there was shooting for the kids, a slide and a face painter. They also has a few giveaways and a kid band playing rock music. We took the metro to get there which stops in front of the center and it was pretty easy. They have a garage but I didn't want to be stuck in DC traffic.

I didn't give this five stars because although the museum is unique, the subject matter is a little bland. This museum takes up an entire city block near Judiciary Square. Once inside you'll find open spaces with differing architectural presentations to dazzle the eye. Technically, the museum is free, but a small $5 donation is strongly encouraged. Because it's such a departure from the stuffy Smithsonians nearby on the mall, the place is becoming the favorite museum of my friends and me. Particularly of interest is the record-number of Roman columns supporting the building's infrasturcture. It's almost like a city within a city.

More
This place on 6th St NW is a great place for carryout lunch. The prices are as low as you can get for their lunch specials, it runs $3.95 for entrée and rice. The food is not the greatest in the world but it could be one of the better values in DC. The Szechuan House Restaurant also has bakery inside if you are looking for different than just a typical cheap Chinese entrée.
