Adam's Inn is a charming Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of Adam's Morgan neighborhood in Washington DC. The rooms are spacious, there are rooms both with a separate bath or shared and the common rooms are very cozy. This was a great place down the street from my place where I loved to send friends and family. A wonderful value for DC proper!

If you visit DC, you should stay in a B&B. This particular inn is in the heart of one of the most eclectic neighborhoods. It's surrounded by dozens of delicious cafe restaurants and unique shops. It's an easy walk to the Metro, and anywhere in the DC area. Plus it's quiet! We got a room on the top floors, which was more like an apartment. It had a living area, bedroom, and bathroom, all in Victorian style. Breakfast was in a common kitchen across the street, and was hot and delicious. And you can get free cookies and tea anytime!

The African Art Museum is a smaller museum located behind the Smithsonian Castle. The exhibits are very interesting and include masks, jewlery, paintings and sculputres. The gift shop has some really interesting things too such as lamps, jewlery and reprints of the paintings. The museum is very well laid out but did seem more crowded since it is a smaller building. It is definatly worth seeing and I almost always go when I am in town.

The Air and Space Museum is not for everyone, but there are some interesting things to do. One of the best things about this museum is the IMAX theatre which shows short films for an additional fee. One complaint, however, is that you must call ahead because they often cancel shows for private events.

More
Akwaaba is a bed and breakfast with an African-American theme in a wonderfully renovated rowhouse along the 16th Street corridor in Northwest DC. Monique Greenwood, who owns this Akwaaba (and others in New York, Cape May, NJ, and New Orleans) with her husband, was once an editor for Essence magazine, but now runs this successful business. Lots of polished wood and high ceilings, with rooms themed after African-American authors -- Zora Neale Hurston, Octavia Butler - or for special occasions. The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, comfortable and restful. I have been here for book readings and private parties, but have toured the guest rooms on two or three occasions, and can vouch for their cleanliness, style and comfort. Akwaaba, by the way, means "welcome" in one of the languages spoken in Ghana, in West Africa.

Good: I was on business travel and heading straight to my meeting from Dulles Airport. It was highly important that the driver was on time and had his route mapped. He did, and I arrived to my meeting with plenty of time to spare!. Bad: No complaints, I was very pleased. Improvements: No complaints, I was very pleased. Other: Being on time is always important, my driver was. The car was clean as if it had just been detailed, which is plus. Rates were reasonable. All across the board, I was very happy with the service..

I HAVE TO SAY THAT IT IS A PLEASURE TO HAVE A DRIVER THAT IS AS NICE HAD THE NEW GUY ON THE CHOKE CHERRY ROUTE. THE ATLANTIC GROUP REALLY DID GOOD THIS TIME. AND I WOULD KNOW BECAUSE I REMEMBER DRIVER FROM THE PAST AND HE WAS NOT SO NICE, AND I KNOW THAT SOMETIMES MY FELLOW RIDERS CAN BE CHALLENGING I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. BUT THE DRIVER ALWAYS STAY PROFESSIONAL WHICH IS A GOOD THING. I DON'T THINK I COULD DO WHAT HE DOES BECAUSE SOME OF MY FELLOW RIDERS ARE JUST NASTY. SO AGAIN ATLANTIC I COMMEND YOU FOR BRINGING SUCH A FRESH BREATH OF AIR TO THE CHOKE CHERRY ROUTE
