Will NEVER give Fletcher (the manager) business again. Terrible, terrible terrible. (Bad enough that I created one of these Judy accounts to write this) I spent more time in the shop WAITING while they were fixing printers, answering the phones, (not to mention this morning I was one of those people on the phone... waiting to confirm my pickup time because they hadn't called between 7:45-10am and I needed a truck at noon)- moving trucks to block people in to their lot who had illegally parked there, hearing an explanation on why he thought I hadn't filled the truck up after my 8 mile (35 minute trip), how the trucks have cylinders and something about swishing or something? Crazy, angry old man. We spent 35 minutes waiting to get the keys to go, and then 28 when we returned to turn in the keys. I am so pissed that we didn't have flexcar/zipcar at this point. (I will be signing up tonight)

Do not call for directions because they can give you directions and they are not good at answering the phone. I spent over an hour trying to find the place they said they were on a different corner than they truly are. Then you get to wait in line a rather long line. You will not know how to get home because you found the place by accident. Find another U Hall store or another moving company.

Without a doubt, the most stressful days are moving days - and this U Haul location does nothing to make them easier. From losing reservations to not answering their phones to renting trucks with bad transmissions to closing an hour early because they cannot staff their desks and the manager simply does not care enough to cover the shift himself, the place fits the definition of a mover's worst nightmare. If you must use U Haul, please book in advance and don't use the website. Pick a location (anyone in the area OTHER than this one...I've had a semi-good experience at 1750 Bladensburg Rd: 202-529-4676) and call them yourself instead of booking through the internet. They give lower rates over the phone and you will have a better chance of getting the equipment you want instead of having some U Haul flunky farm it out to whichever location he feels like and then also charge you a $5 service fee. Should you experience a nightmare like I did, if you report the specific location to the local Better Business Bureau, the national headquarters to the Arizona Better Business Bureau, and be sure to let the regional customer service office know you're doing this, it IS possible to get the entire cost of your move reimbursed and to get gift certificates for future moves as well. I know what a pain in the butt they can be, and no one else should have to deal with them. So good luck.
