The Oxford Tavern (lovingly known as the "Zoo Bar" to those who frequent it due to the proximity to the National Zoo) is a great neighborhood bar with a great atmosphere and pretty good food! The bar is small and cozy and a great place to see bands. There is an AWESOME blues band that plays the 2nd Friday of every month (Sookey Jump). Be sure to get there early - the place can get pretty packed! The only downfall is the parking - it is park on the street or ride the Metro. If you drive and get there later, finding a place to park can be a real bear. If you are looking for a more mature crowd (NOT old, but NOT college - more like 30s-40s), a great atmosphere, some good food & awesome bands - this place is for you! Pros: intimate, good atmosphere, great bands
