I ate there a few months ago, its only a short walk from the national mall. The whole area has a bunch of Spanish restaurants, but this one probably has the best food. Plus they have regular burgers and steaks which is good if your not in the mood for Mexican. The service was very good, we were seated pretty quickly, our food came quick, and all for a decent price for the area.

took wife to austin grill, she had a grilled chicken salad and I ordered a cheeseburger medium, (it was served to me rare). She enjoyed her salad and I must say my cheeseburger was delicious. It wasn't until three hours later that i experienced a 12 hr bout of Montezuma;s revenge.
Now that I am on my way back to recovery I strongly recommend ordering any beef (at this restaurant) well done, and if it is served less than what you ordered I strongly urge you to send it back to the kitchen. and not feel as I did that the waiter and kitchen would consider you a complainer. Would I return? Absolutely Not, Paul

This restaurant had a nice decor and atmosphere. I don't know a lot about Tex Mex food, but it seems authentice to me. :-) I highly recommend the migas. There are great choices for kids, and the food comes fast. Low fat and vegetarian items are available and clearly marked on the menu.

Also, great happy hours specials. Nice beer and margarita selection.
Service is generally good, too.
