I had been craving Indian food all week so when a friend suggested we meet for lunch at Delhi Dhaba I jumped at the chance. We both had the lunch buffet which was nice but I would agree the freshly prepared option would have been a better way to go. They have great naan bread and some of the more moist and tender tandori I have ever tried. The other dishes were very spicy - if you like spice this is the place for you - if not, then beware. Service was fast but they took a while to clear our plates. Overall it was a lovely, no frills meal and I will definitely go again.

Although nicer than their Arlington location, Delhi Dhaba in NW DC is still a casual place to eat. The food arrives hot & fresh. There is great variety. The staff is friendly. Overall an enjoyable experience. Their hot food bar is bland and the food taste like it's been over-warmed, but freshly prepared items are worth it. There is an attached parking lot and they do validate.

The Van Ness neighborhood, while sandwiched between Cleveland Park and Friendship Heights (two pretty happening areas), suffers from a lack of good places to eat. Dehli Dhaba stands out as one of the good places to go and enjoy a reasonably priced and well-prepared meal. The lunch buffet is always a good option, and the dinner menu is extensive too. The butter chicken and began bharta are tops on the menu, and if you hit up the place between 5-7 the happy hour specials include $.99 Sam Adams or Foster's drafts.
