When I was looking for a new eye doctor after moving to the DC area I found one my insurance would cover who had good credentials and was not affiliated with one of the stores in the mall, hoping a private practice would mean higher quality.
Dr. Barnes and his staff were highly unprofessional, forgot I had an appointment, and then when I finally saw him, he spent five minutes total with me before giving me a new prescription and trying to sell me on Lasik surgery, something I had already told his staff five times I was not interested in.
Beware hidden fees for contact "fittings" and other various exams - all a mystery given the amount of time you spend with a doctor.
Also, their office is located in the same building as a methadone clinic, which makes for interesting elevator rides and not the safest feeling when you're exiting the building.

When a friend of mine recommended Dr. Bonn as an excellent ob/gyn doc, I wondered what could be excellent about yearly pokes and prods. I found a patient doctor with both people skills and professionalism. Dr. Bonn's office is tucked in a high-rise office building, and bustles with activity. The receptionists are brief, though courteous enough.
Dr. Bonn himself impressed me with his energy and quick smiles. He took the time to review my medical information and ask about any negative experiences I might have had with an ob/gyn. He explained his role was to answer any and all questions I might have with an open mind.
Our exams have been efficient and he has demonstrated knowledge of leading contraceptive advances and the desire to keep costs low for patients by recommending generic drugs. Appointment wait times are never more than 3 weeks out, and refills via telephone are mostly hassle-free.

Located in the fabulous office building/rowhouse/mall hybrid at 2000 Pennsylvania, most famous for holding Kinkead's, this eyeglass store has a good selection, friendly staff, and, apparently, a good on-site optician. Their selection isn't too unusual, but they have some out-of-the-way frames. They can also tighten your hinges, if you know what I mean.

My daughter has been going here for alittle over a year now for her allergy to bees and wasp. She is so allergic to them it can be fatal. So she has been going here and get shots. She hates needles but they have calmed her fear about them since she has been getting the shots. The whole staff here is great. They are so kid friendly. They really seem to care about their patients.

Dr. Rosenblatt runs a great eye doctor shop. The place has a very large selection of frames to choose from and a very helpful staff to help you pick out the frames that you have been dreaming about. The place also has the latest advanced equipment and can also recommend a good pair of contacts for you. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenblatt's place.

This is a great dentist who takes pride in his work and is really nice to his clients. His dental hygienist is also extremely nice, but she is a little bit too nice and never stops talking. This can get annoying when you are nervous or when you have the suction in your mouth and she's asking you a bunch of questions. Best bet just don't talk back, don't worry she'll just keep carrying on a conversation with herself. No pain involved with even the most invasive procedure. You'll be smiling every time you leave.

This office is poorly run and the while the doc has the best of intentions with his patients he has no respect for their busy schedules. This doc delivered my twins and while he was always great when I finally got into see him I was usually so angry that I had waited over an hour past my appointment and a half hour in the room that I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I would recommend seeing another OB/GYN if your time is of value to you.

We took my daughter here to determine if she was a candidate for a cochlear implant. She is deaf. They told us she could hear too well and determined she was not a candidate. We were shocked. They did a CT scan to find out why she had hearing loss and totally missed what was later found when a Dr. at Johns Hopkins read the films. He was able to tell us why was deaf. I was shocked that such a highly ranked children's hospital missed it. I don't necessarily know if it was just a fluke or what, but she does not attend the clinic there anymore. We are very happy where we are at and will not be returning the CNMC.

The Hospital ER room is perhaps the most frustrating experience you will ever encounter. The waiting time has to be among the worst of private hospitals in the nation. I have never so many people in such clear agony waiting over four hours to be treated.
Even more frustrating, perhaps, is the multiple steps. First, you are greeted, in pain, and have to fill out forms. Then you meet with someone who determines the seriousness of your injury. Then you wait. Wait some more. Wait some more...
Finally, just when you think your time is up, and you will be treated, you get called in. As if that means you are about to be treated. No! This means you have a new place to wait, and a doctor will be with you "shortly". In this last wait, my experience was pretty frustrating. Granted, I had a burn that had to be treated, but several doctors appeared to just be chatting it up about sports or a TV show or something. Certainly not something I expect at 1:00 AM after being in the ER for four hours.
The only redeeming thing was that they did take care of my injury, and I was given the necessry medication
