The Foggy Bottom Grocery is definitely for the kids of GW and not so much the local residents. They have a small selection of typical dorm staples, like mac and cheese, gatorade, and beer. It's pretty small and cramped; if there's more than just you there, it can get tough to navigate through. But the prices are good and if you're in this area, it's perfect to grab something quick. Also, I really like the family that runs it; it's easy to become a familiar regular with them.

Situated on one of the main housing stretches at GW, this privately owned Grocery provides somehwat of a haven from the overpriced groceries that are provided in the George Washington U. Grocery Store. Though the selection is fairly limited, the store has the essentials.
This is a great place to stop to pick up a quick bite, a pack of cigarettes (for you smokers), or a Gatorade on the way to the gym.
Need a quick microwave dinner... they got it
Need a chaser before you pregame... they got it
Need a mixer for the hard alcohol... they got it
Need PONG cups... they got it
Essentials.. yup
Overall, small selection, better priced than GW, but they have what you need
