unhealthy selection of dumb movies, an ugly building generally staffed by ugly and unfriendly people. Popcorn always seems stale. rarely has good movies, boasts awful service, and is always my last choice of movie theaters to head to. Again the service is horrible, and because of this the line is rarely long so I guess there is a pro there. But the cons definitely outnumber the pros. Would not recommend!

The African Art Museum is a smaller museum located behind the Smithsonian Castle. The exhibits are very interesting and include masks, jewlery, paintings and sculputres. The gift shop has some really interesting things too such as lamps, jewlery and reprints of the paintings. The museum is very well laid out but did seem more crowded since it is a smaller building. It is definatly worth seeing and I almost always go when I am in town.

The Air and Space Museum is not for everyone, but there are some interesting things to do. One of the best things about this museum is the IMAX theatre which shows short films for an additional fee. One complaint, however, is that you must call ahead because they often cancel shows for private events.

This place is nuts. We saw a horror flick here recently and I can say I saw and heard more of the audience than I did the movie. First, you're in a cave underneath Union Station in the food court. Then the light go down and the hooping and hollering starts. It could be fun to go here for a certain kind of movie where plot is not important, or if you've seen it already. Otherwise I would avoid it.

Arena Stage produces American classics, as well as new American plays. Every play is top notch, ranging from from monologs, to musicals, to comedy. The cast and production team are professionals who reflect the fact that Arena is the largest non-profit theater in DC. Being based in DC they have some good African American themed plays, including Crowns, which tells the stories of various generations of women via the hats they wear. Crowns was received so well that it has ran, outside of the regular season, for the last two summers.

Arena Stage produces some of the best plays in the Washington, DC Area. There are two theatres at Arena Stage, both fairly small so all the tickets are good seats. I watched my first Eugene O'Neill play at this theatre. Lately though, I have not enjoyed the shows quite as much. It is conveniently located by the Waterfront--SEU metro station on the green line, and often half price tickets are available through ticketplace. To view their schedule and other information, please visit http://www.arenastage.org/home1.shtml

Big, spacious, plenty of room, never gets crowded. Great bands show up here, and there's even a vegetarian resturant in a closed off section (free from smoke). The black and white tiled floors are a nice touch too. Doesn't cost much, and there's plenty of free parking!

Do you have used cds to sell? Do you have the patience to browse through some used cds to get a good price? CD Warehouse has been serving the Georgetown area with some of the newest and best used music. The layout of the store isn't the easiest to understand and it's worth browsing through different categories since they're not always filed correctly. They have an excellent selection of imports which line their back wall. Here you can find the latest Buddha Bar cd or other top DJs. They are usually pretty good with their purchase of your used cds and offer you either cash or store credit. I have found many gems in my music collection here since there are many Georgetown student who use this store and sell their old music.
