I am doing my Masters in Computer Science here. Not being Catholic, I was a little scared to go here. People always ask me when I tell them I go here, whether they try to convert you. No, they don't. The weirdest thing I find is there is a cross in every class room. Having gone to public school my entire life, I've never come across anything like that.
The Masters classes are pretty diverse. Looking around at the undergraduate classes, I can say they are not. I would say you will only find 1-5 minorities in each class. The library is good, there only is one. The computer labs are well kept and the printing is free. The IT helpdesk for the entire school is also helpful. The tuition is expensive though and the safety is always a concern for me. They have a security guard near the Metro station, which is walking distance from the campus (plus). You can always find free parking near the library, there are meters but no one pays.
They have a very good law school as well. They also have good professors.

I have been so happy with the classes my daughter has taken at the CityDance Center at Strathmore. She started with pre-ballet when she was 4 years old and is now 6 and continues to enjoy her ballet classes. Her teachers have all been wonderful -- so supportive and encouraging. I really am pleased with the environment the teacher creates. I would definitely recommend CityDance to all of my friends. I'm even considering signing up for an adult yoga class myself....

Down Dog, an Affiliate studio of Baron Baptiste, is the only studio in the DC area certified to teach Baptiste Power Vinyasa a strong, flowing, style of yoga accessible to most individuals.
Georgetown location is nice, but not the easiest to get to for those of us who take public transportation.
Studio is very nice, but space is limited. Classes are sometimes cramped and its hard to find places to keep your stuff (there are no lockers or locker rooms).
Instructors are very good, but sometimes there are simply to may students for you to get any personal attention.

I work for an International association. One of my colleague’s primary language is Spanish. She speaks English well but her husband has had difficult time learning English since moving to the States. Her husband enrolled at this school and has been doing fantastic since. He has learned a great deal in such a short amount of time.

First Class offers low cost instructor lead classes on career, finance, arts and inspirational type topics. These are informative type courses which you would not find in your standard community college or learning center. They allow people who have a skill to teach that skill to interested people.
For example I took the The $100,000-a-Year Infopreneur class. It was taught by a knowledgeable person who started off with a "How to get a credit card processing account" years ago before even mail order became big. His class had good information with both how-tos and real life examples.

Great park in upper NW that has been named one of Washingtonian's Best Playgrounds! Children's playground includes swings, slides, train, and an enormous sandbox, with turtle statues to climb on! But, the highlight for summer is definitely their fountains, which children can play in. Bring a swimsuit and towel! My daughter LOVED it!

I had to average the school and the administration...
The School: The professors are fantastic, and very tied into Washington politics, a plus for any Poli Sci major. The students, though you are bound to find a few bad seeds, are generally engaging and well involved in the workings of the city- from internships on the Hill, to waiters at local eateries. The dorms are great (but over priced), the off-campus accomadations are also fantastic
The admin.: Here it is you will occasionally find a good seed. One story suggests the Unviersity President said, "GW is a business with a mix of real estate, athletics, theater and publications with some academics mixed in".... and you better believe that all the red tape and the price of the university makes you believe it.
I love the school and the people, but the school's adminsitration can drive someone crazy

This hotel is a great place to stay while in Washington DC. It is in a very safe, quiet residential neighborhood, which seems unexpected in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a bit hard to park. There was not a single spot on the street. I got caught in the middle of a huge traffic jam in parking lot/valet area. You're probably better off valet parking it for a pretty hefty charge. The room was fabulous-very spacious, with a great colonial feel.
