I went to WIS from 6th grade until I graduated and found it to be absolutely excellent. The children are from all over the world and share views and beliefs in a friendly environment. The teachers are knowledgeable and are also from all over the world. It is very expensive, but in my view it is certainly worth the money.

Georgetown Yoga is a great studio right on the C&O Canal in Georgetown. It's small -- just two rooms (one for classes and the other for storing your shoes and coats and checking in) in a three-story office building. But it's a very beautiful and welcoming space.
They offer a lot of different kinds of classes, from the more active Ashtanga styles to pre-natal and post-natal classes. They also have fantastic clinics and they draw some pretty famous yogis for weekend sessions.
The studio also has some nice logo shirts and sells Prana-brand yoga pants, which are super nice.
Highly recommend!

This is not a massage therapist factory. The Faculty and Staff here are very realistic about what it takes to be a successful therapist. Part of that is over a year's study, and though class can be one day a week, be prepared to spend a lot of other time learning massage. Also, if you can't handle the memorization required for anatomy, don't even bother starting the program. This program is affordable, and prepares therapists for the real-world.

This school is great for working moms looking for convenient classes. I can take classes online when I have time. Or I can go to one of their campuses in DC or Maryland. I am going for an online MBA degree. The instructors are inspiring so far.

I have been so happy with the classes my daughter has taken at the CityDance Center at Strathmore. She started with pre-ballet when she was 4 years old and is now 6 and continues to enjoy her ballet classes. Her teachers have all been wonderful -- so supportive and encouraging. I really am pleased with the environment the teacher creates. I would definitely recommend CityDance to all of my friends. I'm even considering signing up for an adult yoga class myself....

More
With a solid foundation in the social justice aspects of the Catholic faith and drawing students from primarily central American, Vietnamese, and African American populations, this school presents students with a truly unique learning environment that is diverse, outwardly focused, and highly spiritual without being overly dogmatic. Students engage each other through service projects, theatric presentations, and active involvement in monthly Mass.

This is an excellent bookstore for law students. They have a huge selection of casebooks (new and used) and study aids. I think their selection is larger than that of many campus bookstores. They are also better about buying back books as well. The staff there is also very helpful, they will always help you find exactly what you need. Law students much check it out!

Down Dog, an Affiliate studio of Baron Baptiste, is the only studio in the DC area certified to teach Baptiste Power Vinyasa a strong, flowing, style of yoga accessible to most individuals.
Georgetown location is nice, but not the easiest to get to for those of us who take public transportation.
Studio is very nice, but space is limited. Classes are sometimes cramped and its hard to find places to keep your stuff (there are no lockers or locker rooms).
Instructors are very good, but sometimes there are simply to may students for you to get any personal attention.

The USDA graduate school is a great resource for our city. If you flip through one of their course catalogs there are a lot of odd and interesting classes on offer which draw instructors from all walks of life around the city. If getting to the Dept. of Agriculture is easy for you (and it's not for me) then you should definitely take advantage of this school. Since it only meets at most several times per week and the class sizes tend to be large, it is not the best place to really learn a language well - but it does give quite a nice overview of topics and it's fun to meet people with similar interests.
