I am now looking for a new physician since I was notified over the phone that I have to pay $1650 a year as a concierge fee to remain a patient with her. I refuse to pay this because the office staff is extremely rude (didn't exactly make me want to pay that fee today when speaking to me in an unprofessional manner on the phone) and she was rude to me herself the last time I had an appointment. Do not recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hansen's for over 13 years, along with my wife. We love her! Her knowledge, her caring and ability to answer questions is second to none. Granted, her staff sucks! Putting it mildly. Their customer service is the worst. If she would get rid of them the sky would be the limit! I recommend her to everyone.

I've been going to Dr. Hansen for several years and have always found her to be helpful and responsive. However, the last several times I have tried to see her she has been unavailable and impossible to get in contact with. I've had an appointment with her rescheduled three times (Monday to Tuesday, Tuesday to Thursday and now Thursday to Monday). Additionally the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I plan to find a new Primary Care Physican.

My wife and I scheduled appointments for the same day. Dr. Hansen's office called us the day before to confirm our appointment. We took time off from our very busy schedules at work, and when we showed up her office was completely locked. No one answered the phones in her office, and no one called to notify us that there was a rescheduling. We waited almost one hour for someone to show up, but no one ever did. The following day, I called her office to receive an explanation, but no one answered the phone. When I was finally able to get a hold of someone (a few days later), they explained that Dr. Hansen had an emergency and had to cancel. They said they must have "had the wrong number on file", because they tried to call. I told them this was completely false, since they had called us the day prior to the appointment to confirm. The least they could have done was leave a message to tell us (they never did). This is not any criticism of Dr. Hansen as a practitioner (we wouldn't know, since we didn't receive any care from her), but she definitely needs to hire better people in her office. Our time is just as valuable as hers.

Dr. Darcy Hansen is a caring professional with offices located in easily-accessible downtown DC. She's easy to talk to and compassionate, and can always squeeze you in when the flu strikes in February. While parking isn't great, there is a garage where you can pay to park, or you can get to her office on the orange/blue or red metro lines.

I loved Dr. Hansen immediately because she is great at keeping herself on schedule and not making appointments wait. I have only been to her a few times, but she is a fantastic listener and exceptional at understanding your needs. I had a bike accident and was on pain medication for the wound that was prescribed by the hospital. But I was headed for a trip to Napa and did not want to have to miss the wine tasting because of the medicene. She came up with a great alternative and did an excellent job caring for the caping wound to minimize the scar.
