This is by far one of the best places to eat in DC. The owner/cook wakes up very early to start preparing some of the best greek dishes I've had outside of Greece. The food is consistently good. Try the meatballs; they are amazing.

Vace makes their pizzas with old country flair - the sauce is on top of the cheese. And what sauce it is, delicious and garlic laden. The toppings are fantastic here and the white pizzas work just as well as the reds. This is the best pie in town, for my money (or my bosses' money, it makes for a great office feast). I can;t comment on their other items becasue I never get past the pizza on the menu - it's too good a treat to pass up.

Howard Delicatessen is a great addition to Georgia Avenue in DC. They have an amazing staff that always serves you with a smile. They specialize in deli meats and have some prepared foods that can eaten in the establishment or taken out. My favorites are their sandwiches and salads. You should give this low priced store a shot.

I've been to the Wisconsin Ave location of Booeymonger multiple times. You stand in line for sandwiches (a little a la "Seinfeld" no soup for you type ordering), give them your exact order and shuffle over to the register. Every sandwich I've ever had here has been wonderful, the service is very efficient and they even have their own frequent buyers card where you purchase 12 and get your next free. I frequently return for the Georgetowner and the Patty Hearst sandwhiches, which are always fresh. Convenient to the Friendship Heights metro in DC and MD off the red line.

I'll admit that, as many times as I've been to Booey's, I haven't experimented much with the menu. That's because the first sandwich I tried, the Manhatten, never gets old. They have plenty of options though, for sandwiches, wraps, and salads (the grilled chicken salad platter is a great choice, as well). Fast service and low prices make it a perfect option for lunch or dinner. There's also cheap beer available.

The best things about Philadelphia Cheesesteak Factory are that it's open until 4 AM on weekends and that they deliver. These cheesesteaks are worthy of the Philadelphia name, but they also offer lighter options like turkey and cheese subs and salads. For Georgetown students, it's often the end of a night out, or lunch the next day. Ordering that late at night can mean a bit of a wait, but it's worth it.

More
I have never had a bad Kabob from Moby Dick's. Nicely marinated and grilled to perfection, the meat is tender and juicy. Eat in or take out, it's worth the trip. Choose from fluffy white rice or hot, crispy naan. Both are wonderful. I've called when walking out of my house and arrived within minutes to find my order waiting for me. I haven't been too thrilled with their grilled eggplant dish, it's a bit bland and unexciting. Their yogurt sauce, while good, is heavy on mint and lighter on garlic than you might expect.
Their Chicken Kabob is a good deal, giving you a healthy serving for less than $10, but Tenderloin kabob seems lacking in portion. Overall a good experience.

Quiznos has great sandwiches- lots of variety on the menu, really fresh ingredients, and I love that they toast them. It's a perfect spot for a quick lunch or take out. This is a nice spot for a very casual dinner too, because the work crowd is gone and it's generally pretty empty. However, stay away from the soup. I had some terrible chicken noodle soup at this location, and it's very expensive for the amount you get.
This Quiznos is about a block from the Farragut North metro station.

Penn' Grille & Cafe is one of the most popular lunch spots in the area. The food is great. The service is fast. It's a staple for professionals in the Foggy Bottom and midtown areas. It’s so popular, in fact, that it can be tough to find a seat sometimes, but the turnover is quick and there are plenty of places outside nearby to pop a squat.

While not the best sushi in town, it's good for a night in with friends. Allow time for delivery, which often takes about 45 minutes. The combos are good deals, and the edamame is worth a couple extra dollars. It's pretty much what you would expect from a place called "Sushi To Go." Not open on Sundays.
