Good Wood on U Street has a great selection of refinished used furniture. The prices are a little steep, but then again, the quality is far superior to the furniture at the places around the corner on 14th St (Rough 'n Ready and a couple others that I can't think of the names of). The selection is ever-changing, so if you don't see what you're looking for, be sure to check back every week or two to see what new pieces have come in.

This place is amazing and beautiful. Thanks to it, my apartment looks amazing. With the beautiful works of art that is there and your choice of fine art work, you can break your credit card here. With the pleasant smiles and help you need, you can find something that fits you. However if its a boring day and you want something to do, stop by and take a look at the great things on display because they keep me there for hours, and open my mind to other things.

It is fun to poke around, and you might find something you can't live without. Good to coordinate with a trip to the farmer's market at Eastern Market. But why oh why did the Eastern Market restaurant stop serving breakfast?

This interesting Georgetown shop deals heavily in antique silver items and also carries antique fireplace equipment. I fell in love with a pair of silver candle sticks. It was resonable in price for what they had in the Gallery. It shares an address with Cherub Antiques Gallery and offers pieces from the 18th-20th centuries.

Conn Ave Consignments is a furniture store. It is a nice store with tons of inventory and tons of space - more like a regular furniture store rather than a consignment store where evrything is pilled on top of each other. . Their prices are a bit high but after they have the item for 30 days the prices get lowered. They do have a website but that is nothing to look at - only good for directions.

Ginza is a store specializing in Japanese merchandise - everything from fabrics and sculptures to the occasional book. It's a nice place to go to find a unique gift for a friend of relative who seems to have everything, or who is into cultural stuff. The prices are somewhat expensive, but given it's location in Dupont Circle, that's just to be expected. Overall, it's definitely worth browsing through to see if you find anything that catches you eye.
