"My name is Brittany and I would like to say a few words about my experience with Reiki Master David Wright. I am 28 years old and I am in recovery from drugs and alcohol. David and I met through a mutual friend and after talking with him I decided to try a reiki treatment. I have to admit I was skeptical at first but at the same time I was very open to the possibility of the treatment helping bring me back into balance. I was very pleased with the way I felt physically, emotionally and spiritually after the first treatment but that was just the beginning. Over the years I have come to David seeking friendship and support, as well as reiki through my recovery and he always greets me with open arms. He has since moved away but we still keep in touch. Most times just having a conversation with him makes me feel like I just had a treatment. I have had Reiki treatments from other Reiki Masters and I have to say that though all of them have been helpfull, I have yet to experience such a powerful force of positive life giving energy as I experienced working with David. There is no doubt that he was put here for a very specific reason. To help others reach their full potential through the work that he does. Thank you for listening. Sincerely, Charlotte Brittany W."

P&P is one of if not THE best independent bookstores in D.C. With two floors of books, there is tons to rummage through in this place. They have all the new releases and fad books that the chain stores that start with B have, but so much more. They have a lot more of the independent writings, as well as some of the smaller literary magazines that you can only find on college campuses. There is an adorable children's section and a coffee shop with tasty treats. There are monthly book clubs for the interested. But best of all for any avid reader, PP is a frequent stop for all kinds of authors on book tours or just in the neighborhood.

I needed a locksmith , not someone to just fix locks i needed someone to hook up an access control system for the new building we brought. So I went on the internet to find a company that was able to work on an install something like that. i called around to see what kind of knowledge the company had of doing this work. When i got to Locksmith dc web site this was something that i seen in big bold print and it made me belive they know what would be goin on. I called them they sent there guy down to us , an gave me a free estimate on everything. An the way they came down and handled everything so professional is the reason the got the job?

For a day of pampering yourself, head to Piaf. Be sure to schedule an appointment because walk-ins are unlikely to find some time in their packed schedule. It’s busy because it’s the best. Their specialists are professional and friendly. They know just how you like to be spoiled. Again, though, you will have to accept being turned away without an appointment. Also, it’s pretty expensive, making it good for special occasions and not for your everyday needs.

More
This museum is a very effective memorial to the Holocaust and its victims. It does the work of a quarter's worth of historical classes on the event (if you can call it that). The subject matter is very sobering, but it is well worth the visit.
There are many quotes as you move throughout the installations, but this one summarizes part of what the architects and many people behind the museum have set as its purpose. “We who did not go their way owe them this. We must make sure that their deaths have posthumous meaning. We must make sure that from now until the end of days all humankind stares this evil in the face...and only then can we be sure it will never arise again.” (Reagan) The removal of human dignity and rights is documented here.
When you enter, you are given a card with a photo or even just a name of a person who actually went through the concentration camps. It contains some of their statistics, and you take it through the exhibits.
The reality that this person existed and had to live in these times/conditions is driven home by the cards.
The exhibits take you through different aspects of the camps. They have one that shows you the living conditions, and another of the tattoos and different insignia’s for those who were imprisoned there- gypsies, political prisoners, homosexuals, jews, the mentally retarded. Pay close attention to the architecture, even the elevator and changes in flooring... almost everything represents something tied to the Holocaust.
There is a particularly moving display of a hall, filled with photos of families and people before they were sent to the camps. There is another one of just piles and piles of shoes of humans who were killed in the camps, which devastatingly humanizes this particular exhibit.
So much information and so many artifacts are contained here; the website also has a lot of useful info about both the exhibits and the Holocaust itself. http://www.ushmm.org/ While it is full of sad and moving exhibits, it is a museum that makes its point vividly.

Kramerbooks and Afterwords Cafe has been a favorite brunch spot for my friends for a while. The blueberry pancakes are divine, the french toast is delicious, and the mimosas are perfect for pushing you back over the edge of your hangover.
The restaurant is also open late at night with fabulous desserts and coffee-liquor concoctions.
But brunch is a must.

I went to Andre Chreky's salon this past weekend and I am very pleased with the haircut and the hair color.I came in with long hair that was bringing me down and highlights that hadn't been done in a while. My colorist was amazing, she put lowlights and highlights to balance out the color. My hairstylist,Rodney, was amazing as well;I showed him a picture that I had brought in, he looked at it one time and was ready to go. My hair usually takes a while to cut, but not this time, it was very quick, but precise as well. I came in feeling like street person and walked out looking and feeling like a movie-star! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the D.C area!
