This is the very 1st Michaels that I ever walked into. Conveniently located
on Thirteen Mile Road and Schoenherr. They have a huge parking lot -
with a bank Lasalle Bank (used to be Standard Federal) where my eldest works. Anyways I love this Michaels it is huge. We went in to buy supplies
to make wedding favors and I found the most adorable bears dressed as a
wedding couple...and I just couldn't resist. This would be so cute on the Bride's table and they gave me a huge discount!!! Just love this store!

I have bought different gifts for people from Lavdas. Each time I have been very happy. The staff is very helpful and the prices are great. I have found some pretty great gifts. I would go back for future purchases because of the helpfulness of the staff and the prices. Their selection is so great that I’m sure anyone would be able to find what they are looking for.

My husband purchase my engagement ring/wedding band from Lavadas nearly four years ago. I absolutely love my ring, it's beautiful. The service there is great. Since my wedding, I've relocated to Florida, but when I'm in town I go back for my cleaning and inspection of my ring. I highly recommend Lavadas Jewelers.

The staff are knowledgable and professional. They go above and beyond to maintain the store and the customers expectations. The produce is all exceptional. The size of the store (not so big) is very welcoming and neighborly.
The selection of meats, health foods, produce, cheeses, and condiments abound. It is nice finding new cooking products and getting recipe suggestions from the staff!!!

Thrifty Florist is a nice little florist. They have a very nice selection of fresh flowers, arrangements, potted plants, terrariums, cards, and other gift items. Their prices are great, their delivery charge is low, and they'll even deliver the same day if they can. It's very nice in the store, not messy or too cluttered, although I wouldn't try to bring a stroller through if you can avoid it.

This Michael's store is very large with a great selection of items. The staff there are reasonably friendly and helpful. The store is always decorated in an appropriate way and all items are reasonably easy to find. Even though I know that I will always find what I am looking for at Michael's, it is sometimes difficult to justify that with the prices of their items. Everything there is very expensive, from silk flowers, to frames, to scrapbooking supplies, everything. But, it is still a good store and I would recommend looking there if you cannot find it somewhere else.

There is something for everyone here at Burlers. My husband was raised in this area and his mother and Grandma shopped here all those years ago. I love to come here at Christmas time because they have all sorts of retro era decorations and candies. The people are all friendly and really like their working environment. Burlers also carries a lot of clothes, such as jeans and baby things. There is a small hardware area too for when you just want to run in and out quickly. I bet though that you will want to just look around and soak up the atmosphere. This store is one of a kind because it is not a chain outfit and it is not a dollar store. It has it's own personality. Enjoy!
PROS: So much to look at in a pleasant environment
CONS: Some things may be a bit pricey, but the obscure items are sure to please.

Family Video has the best deals on movies. Their new releases are always stocked, and rotated so quickly.
They have a 1 night rental fee or 5 nights, which is nice for those of us that never get them back on time!
The service there is always great, and they offer you deals when they can. Like the half off card, where you can get movies half off the entire month.
