This place is one of the top notch restaruants in Boston. Its fancy and a bit expensive but the food is very good and they have all types of authentic Indian dishes. I definetley recommend them. Try their poori and paneer. Its bread and a cheese indian dish and it is very good.

I've been to the Raven several times - grabbing a post-work drink or watching a Sox or Pats game - and have enjoyed the atmosphere each time. Compared to Joe Sent Me next door, I'd favor the Mad Raven. The bar staff were always polite and quick to pour a drink. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. I've been there on some busy nights but it never felt over-crowded.

NFish is one of my favorite "old reliables". Always a good meal with great service at a great price. I was just there last week with one of my pals who is going through an awful, awful divorce. I asked the waitress privately if there was anything she could do to cheer him up. She told me now to worry about it - she'd take care of everything. Well, wouldn't you know, about 10 minutes into our meal, here comes the waitress with a 25 pound WHOLE tuna (head and all) - she snuck up behind my friend and slammed him in the back of the head with the tuna. It was a great icebreaker. We laughed and laughed. Anyway, don't leave without trying the calamari - it is one of the best I've tasted. The sword is also consistently fresh and tasty.
Pros: Great food, good prices
Cons: None

It's amazing how few places there are to eat lunch in an area that is so brimming with businesses (during the week, and also Home Depot and Costco on the weekends). It can get a bit crowded, and the parking lot can get busy, but it's never too bad. The waitstaff understands that people have limited time for lunch, so the service is efficient. Bertucci's is pretty expensive for pizza, but it is really good. At lunch you get salad (albeit iceberg lettuce), and I know lots of people who could make a whole meal out of their delicious rolls. The toppings are good and in adequate supply (personal favorite is the Silano -- that lemon creme sauce is just yum yummy, and they also have some pasta dishes with the same sauce). They have good seasonal dishes, so always look out for the specials/seasonal menu. Their iced tea is one of the best of the chain restaurants.

Honestly the previous reviewer ( you know the one who had the potty mouth), has got to get a life! He really had to come home from supposedly eating at the Tuscan Grill and write 5 reviews? Honestly.
1.) if you were so disappointed why did you not say anything to the server, hostess, manager? (there was no mention you did) and if you HAD... I think that you would have written about it. Hmm, sounds like you made just a *tiny** bit up, if not everything.
2.) do you really miss your creative writing class that bad?
3.) Even if you are very descriptive, you can't keep your writing out of the gutter, which shows your low class, and no one likes a loser.
Now run along to your miserable life.
Pros: great food
Cons: can be a bit noisy on weekends

The name says it all. I could spend hours browsing in this place and not even have a party to plan for! They have everything you could imagine for any type of party. From a themed children's birthday to an elegant bridal shower. They have plates, spoons, cups, table cloths etc... to candles, party favors, toys, gifts, scrap booking supplies, balloons, invitations and more. Plus they always have a section for the current holiday and all the decorations for it- especially great at Halloween with tons of costumes and accessories.
It's locate in a kind of out of the way place but well worth the ride.

I and my co workers like spicy food and always go to Erawan of Siam for Lunch. I sometimes bring my family there for dinner. My favorite dishes are Tom Yam Shrimp and Spicy Siam Chili Fish..Yummi Yummi! The Duck Choo Chee is another delicious dish. Erawan has the best Pad Thai in Waltham, but if you like spicy, go for Spicy Pad Thai country. It's also the best here. If you want good food, I Strongly recommend!!
Pros: the best thai food in Waltham

The headline says it all. Truly wonderful food and wonderful people. I am a steak tip connoisseur and I will drive for a great meal. Just so happens I don't have to drive far. Boca's marinated steak tips are fabulous. I can't recommend this place enough. Gotta have it.

After my first experience there, my friends and I became regulars. I love the atmosphere, the food is great and the people are nice. The owners are welcoming and it is evident how much they appreciate their regulars. They have an outdoor patio which is great in warm weather, lots of TV's if you want to watch the game, half-priced appetizers during Boston games, and $2 miller lite drafts. There is also trivia on Wednesdays, where you can win gift certificates. I have recommended this place to all my friends, and everyone who has gone loves it. My high school friends and I get together around Thanksgiving time every year, and this year I suggested we meet at the New Landing and we had a great time together. Plus they accommodate big groups because there is so much space and seating options.
I am a vegetarian, and when I eat there I know I have options because they have a variety of meals that apply to any taste, not just meat and bar food.
Moody Street has a lot of options, but this is by far one of my favorite spots.
Pros: great sports bar, half-priced apps, $2 miller lites, lots of room, trivia wednesdays
Cons: not a good place if you are looking for a cheap entree

This is my favorite restaurant in Waltham! I love to bring people here, because they have something for everybody, from my friends who are impressed by the number of vegan dishes on the menu, to the meat-lovers who love the Loc-Lac and the steak-frites. I have also come here with children in tow, and the staff were very helpful in finding things that the kids would eat.
The Loc-Lac is garlic tenderloin tips, with plenty of garlic. If you're looking for flavor, that's the dish I would recommend.
Another unique dish is the Mee Siem au Poulet. A spicy noodle and chicken dish topped with strips of egg. It's a fascinating combination of tastes.
You should start with some spring rolls, which come on a plate with big lettuce leaves, sprouts, and some sauce. You rip off a piece of the lettuce, toss in some sprouts and a spring roll, spoon on the sauce and roll up the lettuce. it's a great combination of textures and flavors, as well as a test of your dexterity.
The portions are generous, but if you have room left over for dessert, I like the peche au chocolate - a very rich, intense piece of chocolate cake. My friench-speaking friends tell me it translates to "chocolate sin", but I think it's heavenly.
Pros: Unique flavors, fresh food
Cons: none
