Finally, i say finally a place where they serve real italian eatery.
What i liked so much about this place is that the atmosphere is great, the owner is always around and he makes sure that everyone is happy and full!
The "salmone fiorentine" that i got was very tasty, the salmon wood grilled, my husband got the veal chop, it was delicious.
Be aware there is no butter on the table so dont expect it, just like in italy..
Pros: Great hidden location behind moody street, food is excellent
Cons: No foreign wines, just italian wines

We were expecting a quiet, romantic Italian restaurant. The tables were packed together so we could barely move our chairs and it was noisy. Some of the dishes were good (chicken, steak) while others weren't (crab cakes, lamb). The mashed potatoes on all of our dishes were cold and bland. The tomatoes in the caprese salad were tasteless. The waiter couldn't tell us the difference between the lamb dishes on the menu. The girl who brought us our check was just wearing jeans. We weren't impressed at all. Not like the reviews we had read. Very disappointing.
Cons: Ambience

I really want Ristorante Marcellino to be excellent, but it is only "good." It has the potential, but standard dishes like Pasta Aglio Olio are often re-interpreted by the chef from meal to meal. When I visited Marcellino for the fifth time, I ordered a mixed green salad that, when it arrived, was clearly Iceburg lettuce mixed with bits of radicchio. I also had the aforementioned pasta dish. Instead of receiving the comfortably spicey/garlic pasta I'd enjoyed in the past, I broke a sweat trying to eat the over-peppered concoction.
Marcellino doesn't fall completely short, though. It boasts an intimate dining area that isn't so closely packed as to make you feel like you're eavesdropping on your neighbors' conversation, and there's parking.
Pros: great ambience, good parking, not crowded
Cons: , little variety, drill sargent service
