I cannot say enough about my experience at La Reine I'd been to a handful of bridal salons in Boston and all over New England and liked a few dresses but didn't love any, and had mixed feelings about the stores and salespeople.
La Reine went beyond ALL my expectations. After all the bad reviews I almost didnt go. I do not have a big budget but my consultant, Jessia made me feel so special and important--even after I found a dress I loved (that would end up being "the one"), she kept bringing more dresses for me to try. To top it off, when I mentioned I wanted to try on a dress at another salon before making up my mind, she was totally understanding and advised me, "you have to be sure."There Fitting room was amazing- ( you have your own room with a couch and chairs they had candles lit it was so relaxing!!)
I was surprized. I got a dress at La Reine that was beyond my wildest dreams, at a price point well within my budget, and I was even styled by a designer at a trunk show they were having.
Jessica brought me a few dresses that I'd asked for but mostly dresses she and the suggested (I went into it with an open mind and highly suggest you do the same unless you're sure you know exactly what you want). And almost EVERY dress looked good, if not great on me.Jessica knows what fits your body- This did not happen at other salons, and the unflattering dresses left me wondering if I'd ever find the right one! When I had walked in I wasnt excited- She really made it fun and im toatly excited!!!
I believe I had the greatest experience I did because of the store's vast selection, and the knowledgeable staff. The day was like a dream and I'll always remember it! and her, she has called me twice- Once to make a bridesmaid appt, and another for a ship date-but she says she will call to follow me threw. Which I think is amazing, sometimes you need an extra friend :)
Pros: Huge selection
Cons: NONE!!!

I had a wonderful experience as a bride at la reine, selection is huge and excellent prices are affordable, quality/stylish gowns. latest fashion for mothers.. friendly and down to earth staff. no nonsence place. the store is lovely and spacious. 2nd floor they must have over 200 gowns on sale love love loved it definitely will be back. as you can see I am very impressed and was referred to them by a co worker that had a great experience at this place. I felt I need to post my review, after reading so many reviews some loves them and some not I had to try for myself . I am glad I did. db
Pros: wonderful place

This was my first day trying on gowns and I made an appointment. One of the consultants came through and was very matter of fact, not friendly AT ALL. We get to dresses and she shows me where all the dresses (in my price range were) and then takes me to the changing room to get started. She didn't listen to what i wanted, told me what she wanted me to try on and just didn't give me the time of day. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes!!!! it took me 20 minutes to try on 6 dresses...there is a problem....and i didn't like any of the dresses she showed me. The quality to be desired. I will NEVER go back again. It is a shame. I know she is not the owner but man, with todays economic times you have to have great customer service or you won't maintain business. I am looking elsewhere for a gown. It is a shame that one person can ruin an experience for you. If someone else was working I probably would have had an awesome experience because all these other reviews are positive. IF you go make sure you have the owner work with you. I didn't want to look elsewhere that day after such an awful experience, but my friends wanted me to enjoy the day so I went to La Sposa Bridal and Vows and had AMAZING experience. I may have just found my dress!!!!!
Pros: Nothing!!!
Cons: Everything!!!!

I bought my wedding dress at La Reine in Waltham and was waited on by the owner, Mirelle. The whole experience was delightful. She was so kind, thoughtful, and hard working. As previous reviews have said, you would never know she was the owner, because she is so modest. I found a gorgeous dress; I had tried it on in another store but because Mirelle was able to sell me the sample (which was in perfect condition) I literally paid 1/2 the price of the other store. My alterations were done by Elena, downstairs from La Reine, though she is a separate business. Elena was meticulous and while her work was not inexpensive, it was worth it because she is a great seamstress. La Reine isn't a fancy looking place from the outside, but the quality of the dresses and most of all, the wonderful owner, make it a must-go place for any bride.

after many visits to many bridal shops in 3 states, I finally found La Reine bridal, they had the designer I wanted Adele Wexsler. and what a lovely store, the store was very busy, I was welcomed warmly by a woman, we put slipper on coming from the snow and were given few magazine to look at while we were waiting 10 min. later we had a room for ourselves, the room was huge surrounded with closet the doors were mirrors, where-ever you looked you saw yourself, which was fun. the first dress I put on was adele I loved but it was over my price range, I must have tried 10 at least Mire the owner was helping me. I knew at the end she was the owner she was humble, I could not believe it, she was very sincere and honest with her advice, her expertise was very appreciated, she was carrying dresses dressing me undressing me, working so hard it was hard to believe she was the owner, I like few dresses plus the adele that I loved, I made another appointment to go back they have way too many dresses to chose from. it is hard when you love dress after dress, but what a wonderful and great experience, also, they had montilio cakes that they were offering to customers which was great because I wanted to go there for taste. all in all so far I had a wonderful time and love my experience, highly recommend every bride should feel the way I felt at this store.ellie
Pros: excellent service, large selection, friendly and proffessional
Cons: none

If you are looking for a Pronovias wedding gown, come here! Their prices are very competitive. I bought my Pronovias at L'Elite on Newbury Street and later went to La Reine to buy another Pronovias and found out that the one I bought at L'Elite was $500 more than what La Reine would've charged me for. I was so mad at myself for buying my dress at L'Elite. So do shop around for a good price.
Pros: competitive pricing, good selection of designer dresses, parking

I had a great experience at la reine bridal, I went few times there and everytime I enjoyed it very much. I feel that when you have a good experience you should share it. The store is lovely, my dress is beautiful the staff were great. the selection is the biggest I have seen, even the bridesmaid they carry many designers, I like that they are upfront with what they can do and not do. when I was torn between 2 dresses one was twice the price of the other I was surprised that they suggested and liked the less expensive on me and advised me so, instead of trying to sell the more expensive, I highly recommend them

I went to La Reine because I had seen the news report a couple of years ago about LA Reine donating dresses to Soldiers that where deployed to Iraq, I saved them for last because I wanted to see everything that was out there. I was amazed, I arrived for my appointment and the place was packed, as soon as I was through the door the owner greeted me confirmed my appointment and asked me to have a seat. The owner Meray sat with me asked me what I wanted and went to get dresses herself. She is tiny and the dresses she carried where twice her size, I felt horrible thinking about my mom that is about her age carrying stuff like that but she laughed and said it was fine. I tried on about 12-20 dresses and after each one she narrowed it down and helped me keep it on track. I was on a pedestal, staring into this Hugh mirror when I saw the image I have been dreaming about my whole life THE PERFECT DRESS. I had tried on so many dresses at so many shops and someone finally listened to me and what I WANTED!!! After measurements and MAKEING me read her contract, I finally ended my search. They told me 6 months and my dress was there right on time. I do not know why La Reine does not do alterations like other shops (I guess they are just so busy) But They brought down my dress to Elana and she did an wonderful job. I just got back from my honeymoon, my at prints from my wedding, I cannot believe it is me in the picture I LOVE my dress and having preserved for my daughter. The only reason I went to La Reine was the news cast, after reading bad reviews I had my reservations..... This is the first review I have written about anything, I was looking up the address for a friend I am recommending the shop to and I saw the reviews and I was thinking.. people who are mad write reviews all the time, but happy people that have no problems are to busy preparing for the wedding. So I wanted to add my 2 cents for a great shop that I hope will be around for my Daughters Prom and wedding,
Pros: Great staff, tons of gowns, straight forward policy, and supports the troops
Cons: Parking.. but way better the Newbury st so I guess no cons

I just bought my wedding dress at from Jeanine at La Reine, and it was a fantatic experience. My mom and I had already been to about 6 different shops, and had yet to find something that we loved at a shop that we trusted. Needless to say, this shop mixed the two.
The store itself is a really fun place. It is in an old victorian style house in Waltham and each room has a curtained off area for privacy in changing before "unveiling" each dress to those you are shopping with. They have some incredible amount of dresses (I think aprox. 1,700) and, unlike at other stores where they do not let you look around, we had full reign to search their stock.
The saleswoman that we worked with there was incredible. She was very sensitive in hearing my desires, and pointed out dresses that I loved. Her experience as a seamstress / designer also proved to be great, as she was able to show us exactly where dresses would perfectly bustle and give information on the quality of the materials--something the other stores had not been anywhere near as adept with. Not only was she incredibly professional, but also really sweet. I am very happy that I was able to buy a dress from her.
I could not recommend this store and Jeanine highly enough. Truthfully, I wish it was the first place we'd gone to, because I'm sure it would have been the only. It seems that they have many dresses in every possible style, and shopping there is really a delightful experience.
Pros: the selection and particularly the service
Cons: none

I came here on a Friday evening with my mom. We did have to wait awhile to be seen, but the rooms were decorated nicely, and they had slippers and robes to wear between dresses. It was not the fancy shops you see on Newbury St., but it also came with more personalized and friendly service as well as a much lower price tag.
I told the girl I was working with what I wanted, had a hard time describing it, and she came back with the perfect dress - I was amazed at how well she knew what I wanted! Because the dress was from Spain, and we had a short engagement period - we were able to get the "off-the-rack" dress which was fine since it was in new and had never been tried on before. They went out of their way to accommodate my price and my time period and had their in house seamstress do the altering - all for $800 off the original price! The seamstress Jeannine did an absolutely wondering job taking the size 12 down to a size 2.
Though they do lack good parking and a nice entrance, they don't always answer their phones and at least one of the women their is all business and can appear rude, the owner is very involved in the shop and the customers and really does her best to make people comfortable. I didn't go in expecting much since the shop itself didn't look all that great, and my experience exceeded my expectations. It's not as professional as a Newbury Shop or David's Bridal, but the dress selection is incredible, and the prices are the best around. (I checked the price of my sister's Pronovias wedding dress and they had it $500 cheaper than at L'elite where we bought it).
Pros: Selection, friendly, price, quality, excellent seamstress
Cons: parking dingy, entrance and building not great on outside
