I’ve been using Olga’s services @ Daryl Christopher for a couple of years, and I can compare her work with other places I’ve been so far for facials and massages. Olga is a very knowledgeable esthetician with variety of skin treatments in her repertoire. Her strong and caring hands will make the lines on your face seem to disappear and will help you to restore the energy you’ve lost. Highly recommend for my friends and anyone who is looking for ways to relax.

I have been going to Naomi at D. Christopher in Waltham for about a year now and she is amazing!!! I live in the back bay and work on Newbury st. so, I have been to few places around the city and and always thought it was mediocre and over priced. A friend highly recommended Naomi and I scheduled an appointment with her...the rest was history! I have long hair and not much had changed since i was little. She always changes it a little by adding color, new layers, she recently gave me bangs for the first time in my life!!!! I have a spa that I usually go to so, I have not tried any spa services except for manicures and pedicures which were with Penny. She was very good, paid attention to detail and so friendly! Overall I have experienced really great service from the staff and Naomi and highly recommend going there. Someone complained about the prices, but I think they are reasonable, I have definitely paid more for a lot less . Very happy with all of my experiences here.

This is the first salon that I have gone to where I left loving the way my hair looked! And believe me, that's not an easy feat for a stylist to achieve with me. Cuts can be a bit on the pricy side (comparable to a Newbury Street salon price) but for someone like me with long hair who only needs to go to the salon a few times a year, I didn't have an issue with the cost. The staff are all polite and professional and make you feel relaxed and at ease. The salon atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Also, while having your hair washed, they offer you a complimentary scalp massage (which I highly recommend you do!)
Daryl Christopher is a full-service spa and salon, offering a wide range of other services in addition to hair care. I had a Swedish massage there as well and would recommend this service as well. This was my first time getting a professional massage and Mariah walked me through the whole process to help put my mind (and body) at ease. Again, the price was a bit on the pricy side but for an occasional self-treat, I don't think the cost was completely outrageous.

I recently went to this salon because I was looking for a nice upper class place to go to. I was sadly mistakend. My entire experience there was a complete disaster. Miriam who worked on my hair was supposed to do a bleach & tone and instead turned my hair different colors and I was in tears before the end of the night. She turned my hair first grey then a canary yellow and it was in multiple spots covering my head. She became frustrated with me and the situation and it definitely showed. I was very uncomfortable because of this and it seemed that everyone in the salon (other hair stylists and even the assistant manager) kept telling me it was my fault and I had waited too long to come in and get my roots done. I felt like I had to defend why I hadn't come in sooner, which was due to a lack of money since I had just moved to the area from California and got a new job. I explained this to them and that I came as soon as I had received my first paycheck, but they were extremely rude and kept putting the blame on me. The first night I was there they spent close to 5 hours on my hair and by the end of the night, my head looked like a patchwork of colors. Because of this I had to come back, the very next morning (which took more time out of my schedule) for them to be able to fix it. When I arrived the next morning, Miriam was rude to me from the very beginning and it took her another 2 hours just to get my hair back to looking normal. I also would like to mention, that Miriam ruined the shirt I was wearing the night before by spilling bleach all over it and when I asked if I could be refunded the money for the shirt, the assistant store manager refused and said that it was my fault and that there was signage all over the shop indicating that customers are responsible for their own clothes. I was still charged the full amount for the entire process and was left with a ruined piece of clothing. I will never go here again and plan on telling everyone I know to do the same.

Miriam did a wonderful job on my highlights. I am a new client so I was, of course, a bit nervous about trusting a new person with my color. She is very pleasant and I will definitely go back to her in the future. She also did a great blowout and styled my hair exactly like I wanted. Sometimes they just do what they want. I really enjoyed my experience with Miriam and highly recommend her.

I was here to get my manicure done before my wedding. The woman who was doing the manicure did a great job (french manicure). I payed $35+gave her $10 tip, so it came out a t pricey! The place feels like a ritzy spa, the lighting is dim, and the the atmosphere is very subdued, the only people laughing are the clients. I felt pressured because 1) the woman who was doing my nails was pushing me to buy a cream for $40, and pressured me into scheduling an appoitment for pedicure 2) when i called to cancel the appoitment for the pedicure 3 days in advance, the woman on the phone was upset, and said that she has to charge my credit card anyway, luckily they did not have the card on file for me :-)! 4) it's hard to get to this place unless you have a car.
Pros: subdued atmosphere, feeling pampered
Cons: arrogant place, high price, pressure to buy stuff

I love this place. As soon as you walk in they have you change into a black smock. They ask if you want coffee, tea, or water. The hair stylists are amazing and so friendly. But the BEST part of all is the massage you get while they are washing your hair! Oh My! Wonderful. And it's not a short massage, it's a good 5-8 minutes. Love when they go really into your scalp!
