Valvoline instant oil change seemed like a convenient place to get my oil changed, but I was greatly mistaken. I waited a half hour to be acknowledged by the staff (there was no one else there either) and then the mechanics were very rude when I refused to buy into any of the "extras" that were offered. No one explained what was going on, and they would not listen to a word I said. Not to mention that their oil changes are a lot more expensive than any gas station I've gone to in the past. Definitely not worth the aggravation!

They also have a lunch menu that is reasonably priced and includes enough offerings to satisfy most any whim. This is not the greatest gym I have ever been to. Their prices, first of all, are absolutely outrageous. They are always really busy and I am always waiting to get on a machine, no matter what. The air quality is ok, but it is just one large room, so I feel like everyone stares at you all the time.

This service station, though a bit of a drive for me, is worth the trip. The mechanics here are friendly, competent and honest... a rare treat in mechanics!
They are happy to work with people who tinker with their own cars (like my boyfriend) and give advice and help. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, and I have never walked away feeling cheated.
I have had horrible luck in the past with mechanics, but now that I have been introduced to this service station I feel my luck has changed.

Brandeis is a suburban school right off the commuter rail, which is small and very tight-knit. There are many majors to choose from, and departments in the sciences and economics are very popular amongst students. Brandeis' Judaic Studies department is the largest in New England, boasting a large library of material and research projects. Brandeis students have tons of student-run clubs to get involved in; many students participate in community service organizations or play intramural sports. Professors are easily accessible and caring. Classes are small (except for most intro classes) and teaching assistants are very helpful with difficult work.
Take a tour of Brandeis, the admissions office has a wonderful program in which prospective students can stay a night in a residence with current students--it's a great way to learn more about the school.

After having driven past it for years I finally stopped in when a craving for a chicken parm sub took control. And am I glad I did. Their menu includes pizza, hot and cold subs, salads and more. Everything I have tried is great. The guys who work there are friendly. And if they have any baklava left when you get there pick up a piece...trust me on this!

Just Cutz is a small barbershop right near Waltham Square. It's a very friendly place--they have video games for you to play while you get a hair cut. Prices are inexpensive and haircuts are very professional. Once, my friend was not completely satisfied with his haircut and went back later in the day and the manager fixed it and gave him a certificate for a free cut at a later date. Great customer service!
