The Wingate Inn is a good hotel located near the navy base in Virginia Beach. It is also convienient to Norfolk Airport.
The rooms at the Wingate are typical of nicer business oriented hotels with additional features like internet access, and continental breakfast. However the counter help and service people here are atrotious. The housekeeper stole things from my room, the registrar acted as if she was going out of her way to check me in and out, and they did not do a single extra thing I asked them to do (like an extra copy of my bill, or giving me paper for THIER printer in their business center). The service was just awful!

This is a lot cheaper then many hotel rooms in Virginia Beach. It also is an experience of a lifetime. They have Miniature Golf, a couple of pools, showers, bathrooms, and bicycle rental. It is a little far from the beach. It is a bit commercial and you aren’t really experiencing nature, when there is electricity available, along with showers. Its like an entry-level camping experience.

Our next door neighbor goes to the Virginia beach academy of martial arts and he loves it. He is only 10, but he is doing so well in here. They take there time and teach him on his level and he is not only learning how to do the sport, but learning about it. Every time he comes home from class he comes over and tells us all about it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who child shows an interest in learning about martial arts.
