Their hash browns are always perfect to my taste- nice and crunchy. Spouse loves the Eggs Benedict; I like the fancy stuff. The pies are to die for. The only thing I don't like is the constant faint smell of stale cigarettes. They have good smoke-free hours, but outside of them, there always seems to be smoke, even in the nonsmoking areas.
Pros: fantastic food, good value

It is so refreshing to get away from the same old same! There nightly specials are always a pleasant surprise for the taste buds! There staff is always so friendly and really care about your experience. Havana on Granby Street is "Party Central" and the Great Neck Rd location is tried and true for the best EVERYDAY escape from the ordinary! I was happy to hear they will be offering a Petit Menu so you can have a little bit of everything. This is a MUST SEE!!!!!!!!

My husband and I usually go to Misako (which is also really good) but my son and his wife took us here one day and now it is my favorite sushi restaurant. The service is good and they always give us complementary rolls! actually going there tonight!

I've been dining at Sakura on Shore Drive for many years and think it is the best in Virginia Beach. Please don't listen to sushisweetsushi?, the customer service has always been excellent. My favorite is the toro (fatty tuna belly) sashimi when they can get it.

The best place to get seafood with a view of the oceanfront! Mahi Mah's is located right on the boardwalk. You can dine inside for a little more fine dining. Or you can sit outside on the patio and listen to the Beach Street USA bands play right out on the boardwalk! They also have a sushi bar area. There is a great happy hour that also includes crab legs! Best snow crab I have had in VA! I love this place, and have been repeatedly.
Things to keep in mind-they have valet, or you can park across the way in the parking garage. I have never been here without close to an hour wait. But that is okay, just right outside the door is the beach! It is also hard to accomodate large parties. Even with our large family of 5, it is hard to get a table without an even longer wait. (usually we will just squeeze three into the booth at the bar....its worth the food). Prices are a little high, and theres not a huge selection, but what they do have, is EXCELLENT! Ive never been disappointed.

They specialize in steak, and they have been in business since the 1950s. That says a lot, too. I simply love them! They don't accept reservations, but they do have a 30-minute call list. This means if you are leaving to actually go to the restaurant, you can call ahead within 30-40 minutes of your arrival, and it will minimize wait time. Otherwise you will wait a while. They are located at 706 Atlantic Avenue. They also have a fantastic bar!

Great food, though pricey. Creme Brulee to die for. Cheesecakes, too. Excellent service. No real kids menu, but my kid loved the "cheese pizza"---foccacio crust with sauce and cheese, cooked on a woodstove.
