This new ice cream shop which recently opened up near Red Mill Commons is absolutely wonderful! They have such a huge selection of flavors, each more delicious than the next. They have everything you could want from regular cones to sundaes, banana splits, hurricanes and even mochachinos. Definitely worth the drive if you don't live in that particular area. Prices are also really good.

This hotel is great to stay at. It is right on the beach. When you go out the back doors you just have to walk across the boardwalk to reach the sand. It is also right in the middle of a bunch of little gift shops that are all along the boardwalk. They have rooms that over look the ocean. Those rooms have balcony that you can open the doors and here the sound of the waves all night long. I had such a good time there.

If you want great seafood but don't want to pay the seafood restaurant price (and really don't feel like going out) call R U Steamin. You order the tin that will feed the desired amount of people. It comes with veggies. Then you order your seafood. Go pick it up, add some water, put it on the stove. When it steams you time it for 20 minutes, then you have a wonderful seafood meal at home. It is so easy you can't mess it up. And you certainly can't get a seafood meal for the same price at the oceanfront! They also have an emailing list where you get awesome coupons. I highly recommend it!

I always stop at NY Philly when I'm in the area. I always get the Chico Philly Sub ( Chicken ) and there is no sub place in the area that makes it like NY Philly. They bake their own bread, the sub is absolutely delicious and it is huge. It is also a great value, the sub and a drink is under 8.00, this place is a little mom & pop place so don't let the appearance fool you, I eat out a lot and I can tell you the subs are the best in town.

EXCELLENT-EXCELLENT NY STYLE PIZZA! THE BEST IN THE AREA BY FAR! The various other dishes are not only out of this world too - they are very reasonably priced! I have never been dissapointed with anything that I've had there!

I am an ice cream fanatic. Imagine my surprise to find out I could now have ANY flavor I could come up with created for me! This is a dream.
Cold Stone is a bit pricey, but it's a splurge and not an every day visit for us. They have sizes named "Like it", "love it", and "gotta have it". You can practically swim in the biggest size it's more than a pint of ice cream I think! They do offer pints and half gallons, once you get good at creating your signiture flavor, take one home and save yourself a few trips.
You will choose your flavor of ice cream and what toppings you want mixed in. Depending on size, a few may be included. You can choose from cakes, cookies, fruit, candy...pretty much the sky's the limit.
The location in Virginia Beach is great. They are always friendly and I've never seen the staff in a bad mood. There isn't convenient parking in this area, so you will be walking a bit when you visit. We lived a few blocks away so it was a nice walk in good weather.
