Two years ago I suffered from dry eyes due to contact lense wearing and the annoyances of not being able to see without jthem. Today, thanks to Supralase, I can see 20/20 and don't have to worry about feeling that dry eye feeling since Supralase doesn't cut your tear nerves like flap procedures (Lasik and Intralase). When I heard that I was sold on a procedure that wouldn't just fix one problem but create another but that would fix my vision without complications down the road. I had the procedure Friday at 2:00pm and could see well enough to be at work by 7:00am Monday morning.

Dr. Rampona and his staff is the best!!! After my several consultations with other offices, I am so thankful that I took the time to personally meet with Dr. Rampona. Every office that I had visited previously told me that I would have great results with Lasik. Dr. Rampona was more concerned with the long-term health of my eyes than just getting paid for doing surgery. He told me that he would not recommend Lasik due to my thin corneas and having dry eyes, and that Lasik could be extremely dangerous. I had supralase 4 years ago, and can still see 20/15 in each eye. My night vision is so much clearer now than it ever was with my contact lenses. My only regret is not having it done sooner.

I truly believe that Dr. Rampona and his staff are the best out there. It has been almost a year since I had Supralase done at his office. From the moment I first walked in the door for my free screening, I was greeted with smiling faces that assured me that I would be well taken care of. Upon finding out I was a candidate I scheduled my surgery. I was well informed about the procedure I would be receiving and I felt very comfortable going through with surgery. On surgery day, I walked in the office very excited and I left the office even more excited because I no longer needed glasses or contacts. I continued to receive the best of care through m post-operative appointments. I am very satisfied with my vision. I am now seeing 20/15! I could not ask for anything better. There is only one word to describe Dr. Rampona and his staff, and Supralase, and that is extraordinary!

I am a certified Ophthalmic technician and have been in this profession for over 25 years. My son (who was very nearsighted -10.50) started asking me at age 16 when he could have refractive surgery. Since I was not an advocate for refractive surgery I continued to use the age excuse, until he was 21. By that time we had moved to Virginia Beach and I was working for Dr. Rampona. I watched and waited to see the results Dr. Rampona was getting with Supralase, and was amazed! I was not only impressed with the results and healing time with Supralase, but also with Dr. Rampona's ethics and morals. My son had laser vision correction with Dr. Rampona on Jan. 5, 2005 and has had 20/15 vision in both eyes since. Since then Dr. Rampona has performed Supralase on my husband, my daughter, my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law. All are quite pleased with their results. I trusted Dr. Rampona with my family. I can't thank Dr. Rampona and his staff enough of the miracle I received at First Colonial Eye Center. The entire process was amazing. It took me some time to understand the differences in options but Dr. Rampona took the time needed and now I'm out of my glasses. For the first time in my life I have been at the beach and in the water and I can see. I can drive at night and read the street names. If you are thinking about getting your eyes done... Call Dr. Rampona. I promise you will not be disappointed!

I had problems with my superalase. One eye was not numbed and I felt everything.My eyesight is worse. I went to a Dr for a second oppinion and he said I was never a candidate. My eyes hurt me everyday. Dr Rampona was very nice until there was problems. I asked for a refund and he will not return my calls. This is a nightmare I will always live with because my sight will not get better. And I will have to use eye drops forever.

Dr. Rampona and staff at First Colonial Eye Center are the best. After receiving my eye surgery on Good Friday, Dr. Rampona called me everyday and even on Easter to make sure I was feeling okay. They explained in extreme detail everything about the surgery and recovery, unlike any other office I went to for the consultation. Dr. Rampona's bedside manner is what today's doctor's should be. He actually cares about his patients.

He is a wonderful person and a fabulous eye doctor. Another medical professional had me worrying needlessly about an eye condition that really freaked me out. That was thankfully not true, and he was very patient with any questions I had at any time (and I had a LOT of questions) and took the time to make sure I understood my condition. Great location! I really respected that they took cares to get you in to see the doctor as soon as humanly possible, and to work you in if at all possible if they had a patient with a diabetic emergency.
