Regent University is an amazing university in that everyone in every field chooses to do their job (their calling) with excellence, from the leadership, to the professors, to the staff. There is a constant emphasis upon finding areas of "disconnect" to improve the quality of education. There is a global emphasis and a desire to learn and grow from an understanding of diverse cultures, peoples, nations. The professors are absolutely top notch, and they care deeply for their students. They willingly meet with students (sometimes the adjunct professors are more difficult to reach, I admit), counsel, and pray with and for their students and classes. Every class and professor, every department in every school within the university are constantly evaluated as to their effectiveness, and improvement changes are swift. Never thought I would find a school that could measure up to Texas A&M, but even though it is one-tenth the size, Regent University does measure up,and in some ways surpass TAMU. I highly recommend it (and I am not an employee, or have any family members who are employees).

As America's premier graduate school dedicated to combining quality education with biblical teachings, Regent continues to produce Christian leaders who will make a difference, who will change the world. > As an employee of Regent, I've noticed in the Hampton Roads area there is a general admiration for Regent simply because it is a respected graduate school in a conservative area of Virginia. The professors and staff are very down to earth, as they usually are at religious institutions, and as a graduate school, we are not hampered by a pursuit of athletics or greek life (nothing against them, just that they are otherwise commonplace), instead choosing to focus on graduate work, missions, and developing character in all our students. I attended two public universities, and I loved them for what they were, and my wife attends Regent, and I have a great respect for Regent in that it is not afraid to stand out and go its own path. If you are interested in Regent, regent.edu is a good start. We are a private university based on Biblical standards located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

I feel that a lot of people instantly disregard Regent students because of Regent's affiliation with Pat Robertson. I transferred to Regent from Old Dominion and I love it. Just because the leader of an organizaton says crazy things doesn't mean the entire institution is worthless. Look at the President. He's not always on the top of his game, but still, for the most part, America is one of the greatest countries around. I'm getting a fantastic Christian based education at Regent, one that make my ODU career almost laughable. The classes are small, the teachers are extremely attentive and actually want to help you, the student. And you know, Pat doesn't really spend that much time on campus anyway.
