Reading the other reviews- Wareings is a gym-point and simple, yes some of their equipment isn't the newest most whamadyne stuff, but who cares, are you going to the gym to workout, or just have a membership for status or to find your next ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.
Wareings is real, the staff is great, if you actually give them a chance to help you, and not just in and out the door. Besides, the membership price is relatively low compared to Inlet or other "newer/trendier" gyms which start off in the 70$ per person range per month.

Well. I was just trying to find a gym. I found online that the monthly membership as less than $40 bucks, but was told the cheapest membership was over 50 bucks a month. They asked me "are you sure you are looking our website?" umm...yes I'm not an idiot. And yes sir...most classes are inciuded with your membership at most gyms...gah! And upon arrival to the gym some dude screams.."God BLESS YOU!"...lol. I don't mind the phrase if its used sincerely but screaming it at a potential customer while their trying to park..well...
good luck with this gym. I didn't meet Tony, but to be honest....there wasn't even agood reason to try this gym out. And if you have kids...go to the Y..its a little more expensive BUT can drop ur kids off for free while you work out.

You might want to get your facts straight before making people read the bs you have posted about a wonderful gym. It is $50 per month, not week, which includes all classes (most gyms charge for classes) The facilities are older than some others but what some see as old the members see as a bit of virginia beach history. Also the manager Tony is one of the nicest and encouraging people I have ever worked with. Don't judge a book by its cover...look a little deeper and you too will fall in love with this place.

The daily rate is $20 and weekly is $50....overpriced for the quality of the club. The layout is terrible, there is an upstairs and downstairs (so you have to go back and forth), but the downstairs is only available to a gender every other day (men 3 days, women 3 days). Hours are not good, particularly on Sunday. The equipment is very old and out of date. The staff were the least friendly and courteous I have ever encountered at a gym, particulary the manager Tony (I travel all over the world, so have worked out all over the US and many parts of the world). I only joined for a week, but will never again visit Wareing's.
Pros: convenient for a beach hotel
Cons: staff was unfriendly, not helpful. awful equipment. bad hours.
