Have been seeing Arlene for color since 1999 and STILL get asked who colors my hair. Arlene makes you look fabulous and Claudia, with her EXPERT shampooing/massage ability has you walking out of the salon on clouds! Front desk personnel, unfortunately, leave much to be desired as approaching them finds you believing they'd all rather be having root canals than wait on you!! Also, some type of barrier to the changing room would be appreciated as other guests FLING IT OPEN, knowing women are changing in there! What's up with that?
Pros: Arlene and Claudia
Cons: Front desk personnel

I started going to CI about 4 years ago, and honestly, wasn't that thrilled with my colorist. But when she went on maternity leave, I switched over to Cindi and have been happy ever since. I get compliments on my color all the time. With Cindi, I've been a brunette, red head and most the time, light brown w/blond highlights. She knows her stuff and makes it look natural. I highly recommend her. As for the salon, some pros and cons, but the shampoo girls are sweet and Cindi makes it well worth the trip.

I have been going her for about 5 years now.I have only the best things to say! When I first started off I was put with the stylist Erica who was great. She left and then I was put with Devyn.Lets just say it was the best thing that ever could have happened!!!! He is the best ever.He takes the time to listen to what you want he will also make suggestions that best suit you. Then he does his magic which in the end is the best cut ,style that you could have ever wanted!!He is also very sweet and very easy to talk to he will always get you laughing, which is good especially if you were having a bad day...if you were you will no longer have a bad day when you leave.
So if you get the chance to go to the Oakbrook Salon ask for Devyn he is the best!!!!
Pros: Everything..Friendly staff
Cons: No Elevator

I love this place! It is a bit pricey for men, but for women it is a pretty good price unless you are a super cuts kind of girl. I have only had my experience with cut and style with Devyn and he is great! They are friendly and the salon is warm and sharp. I would recommend going there if you are a woman looking for a fresh cut and style.

This is a great place to get your haircut and a good alternative to Mario Tricoci in the Oakbrook area. The stylist are very good and it is reasonably priced. However, you have to get past the receptionist with the british accent that seems to be fighting you every step of the way. She is to be honest a few crumpets short of a tea party. Everyone else in the salon is very professional and accomodating. I highly recommended it.
Pros: great stylist
Cons: strange recepiotnist and desk personel

Unless you're in your sixties, a millionaire and have nothing better to do with your day than waste time paying out the rear for over confident salon staff, then this is not worth stopping for. The Oak Street location is more pretentious that the other suburbs ones, but that could be because Charles Ifergan himself tends to be there. He is an annoying Frenchman who charges a disgusting amount of money for a cut by an egotistical mess of a stylist. I am not bitter by any means. I just went there asking for a specific cut and by the time I left, I was so disappointed I was about to run my Mercedes into a brick wall. Not only do I tell people not to go here, I would spend money to anti-advertise this salon if I had the time.

I just went in to get a consultation for hair exstensions. I didn't need to make an appointment, and only waited about five minutes. Joey gave me all the pro's and con's of having hair exstentions, and answered all my questions. I feel that they are pretty reasonable on there prices and will probably go back there to have him do my hair. There was only one gentleman... who seen me at the receptionist desk, the other girls were to busy jaw jabbing.

The salon has a very sunny, light interior, and hip atmosphere. I've been here more than a handful of times and the staff has talented hair stylists and colorists. I started noticing problems as they got busier in my last few visits. The first color job was done wrong and it was corrected on the same day. My scalp actually burnt from this and to this day my hair falls out and scalp feels shocked. The colorist is no longer working there, but I would really ask before setting an appointment how long the colorist/hairstylist has been working there. Minus the isolated incident, it's an okay salon
PROS: Nice atmosphere
CONS: Only a few hairstylists/colorists have attitudes
