I switched primary care physicians after dealing with the nightmare that was Dr. Cheong Choi and his staff, and I was very pleased to find Dr. Elgourt. She really took the time to answer all of my questions and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Also, my wait time in the office was only about 20 minutes, which is a nice change since I often wait an hour for other doctors. The only drawback is the receptionist, who wasn't very helpful at all. Dr. Elgourt wanted me to schedule a physical, and so I have to get some blood tests done in the lab that is 2 doors down from her office. After I left her office, I called back to see what the hours were for the lab. The receptionist didn't know. So I asked her if she had the phone number for the lab, and she said she didn't have it. She told me to call 411 (this is for the lab that was 2 doors down from her!), so I asked her what the name of the lab was, but surprise, surprise, she didn't know that either. Luckily for me, one of my co-workers actually used to work for the lab, so I was able to find out the name and look it up on the internet. So all in all, Dr. Elgourt was great, but she needs to hire more competent staff.
