After reading the other reviews, I think the problem people have with Pied Piper is the fact that most people have never had great pizza. They are used to the crap that is put out by all the other major pizza chains. This pizza is simply some of the best pizza you will taste. If you like "flying pie" in Portland, you'll love Pied Piper. Loads of fresh toppings, home made crust. I would say that while the take-out pizza is great, for some reason the buffet they offer is not good. We love their pizza and went to the buffet because it was free for young kids, I would not recommend it. It was like eating different pizza. I think they allow it to sit out too long. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, the place is stuck in the seventies with the wood paneled walls, and older furnishings. It does have a good, laid back, family feel to the place. However, the pizza makes up for any deficiencies in atmosphere. Just remember, "no buffet"

We ordered from this pizza place one night because it was late and everyone else we use was closed. This place has the yuckiest pizza i've ever had. The toppings looked and tasted funny. The price wasn't that bad but still too much for the crappy food. The only bonus was the pizza delivery was quick. I'd definitely recommend you NOT order your pizza from here. Pizza Hut would have been a better choice.

Every time we drive by the kids ask if we can go to Pied Piper Pizza. They have games for the kids which in any restaurant earns and A in my book. I enjoy the pizza. I know the owner through volunteer work, so I had the opportunity to try different pizza's at a meeting. I though all were great, even the vegi pizza. Which I would have never bought and tried on my own.

I love pizza, so I always check out different pizza places. I decided to try Pied Piper, and ordered a large cheese. The service was a little slow, and the guy who took my order came off as a little rude. I got the pizza, took it home and was a little diappointed. The sauce was very plain, I mean very plain. Almost like they took a tomato, squished it and just put it on the pie. The cheese seemed a little chewie, that's something not good on pizza. The crust was ok, but I wanted to enjoy the whole pizza. Since then I haven't been around Pied Piper, and I suggest you stay away too.

Pied Piper has good pizza, but I was very disappointed by the salad bar. People were allowed to use the same plate over and over and there was not much of a selection. It was very noisy and hot. It had a very stuffy atmosphere, but the pizza was good. It would not be my top choice for pizza.
