Six Flags Marine World is offering discount tickets and making up for it with price gouging that starts at the front gate.
They confiscated my grandson's small jackknife and told him that he could only get it back if he rented a $9.00 locker - otherwise they would throw it away (sure they would). We buried it in a planter outside the gate and retrieved it on our way out. Seven of the nine over-priced souvenir toys for my younger grandson disintegrated in my daughter's hand before we got back home - one before we even left the park! Some of the toys were broken in the store. My daughter wanted to assemble an intact toy from a combination of one broken toy and another similar intact one. She was charged full price for the broken toy! A lead pencil with the Six Flags logo, similar to the imprinted pencils sold at the Dollar Store for $1.00/dozen, is $1.49 at Six Flags for one pencil. The price of food and drinks is outrageous. There are water fountains - but try and find one. If you do, the water is warm and nasty, the fountains are filthy. A bottle of water, which sells at WalMart for $3.29/case is $1.49 and we know they buy it wholesale. Being on a limited budget, we were hungry all day. I could afford only a lemon drink for each of us - at $5.00 each. Subway advertises a $5.00 foot long sandwich - but the Subway at Six Flags has no such bargain. A "family" fast food lunch is $40.00, not including drinks at $5.00 each.
If you plan a visit to Six Flags, be prepared to spend a lot of money. They won't let you bring in food and your bag will be searched to make sure you don't.
The on-line advertised closing time for the park is an hour later than the time they actually closed, so be prepared to leave early.
Pros: Fun rides and shows
Cons: Price gouging at every stop.

This is a great place with something for everyone.... There's a section with kiddie rides, roller coasters for the older kids and animals for everyone. One of the things my kid and I enjoy is feeding the giraffes. You pay a couple of dollars, get your hand stamped, and then you get to pick apples out of the bin and feed them to the giraffes! It's gross, yes, because the giraffes have huuuge tongues that they wrap around your hand, but its lots of fun! As you exit, there's a container of purell hand sanitizer for you :).

This is one of the worst Six Flags parks I have ever been to. It used to be an animal park called “Marine World” now it’s Six Flags Marine World. It was purchased around 1999 and then converted into an amusement park. The park isn’t designed to accommodate the large numbers of people and the layout is poor. The rides aren’t great and half the time they are functional. There are a number of animal exhibits, and it seems as if the animals are all huddled together in small habitats that aren’t big enough for them. When you see the animals, you almost feel sorry for them. During the long hot days, the park doesn’t offer much food or shade. The park also closes earlier then most at 8:00 PM and this is not the best place to visit.

Every time I see that commercial with the short bald man dancing around advertising for 6 Flags, I crack up laughing. I have been to 6 Flags a couple of times and each time was so much fun! One time I went during the month of October and they were running a couple of the BIG roller coasters backwards, what a rush! Great rollercoasters and upside down rides too get the adreniline pumping. GReat fun for older kids and adults not so much for the little ones though atleast I didn't see anything. But I guess I wasn't there for that kind of thing!

Marine World has changed from the days of past where it was animals and animal shows.
Along with the great animal shows they have some really fun rides.
The animal shows are entertaining, though it is helpful to plan your day and arrive at the shows early for the best seating. Don't miss picking up a schedule at the park entrance.
The rides are alot of fun, and if you are only there for the day I highly recommend spending the extra 2.00 for the most popular rides to get the fast pass. The fast pass ticket allows you to go to the absolute front of the line and saves alot of time.
The log ride along with being fun, gets you very wet so be prepared with a change of dry clothes.
Bring lots of cash too, the food and drinks are very expensive (as most amusement parks)
They state no food and drinks to be brought into the park, but we had no trouble bringing in water and light snacks and juice for our little ones.

Have you seen that cute little commercial with the short bald man dancing around? Heard the new radio ad? If not, oh well. But 6 flags marine world puts a lot of effort into getting you to go to their theme parks, which aren't half bad. They have an aquatic center, where they put on shows with dolphins, etc, and.. of course they have ROOOLLEEERRRR CCOOOOAASSTTEERRSSS.. but I wouldn't reccomend you wait in line if you are pregnant, because you will waste your time, they do not allow you on. Tickets are expensive but if you have a seasonpass it makes it worth it.

This park is something special. Why? Because its like getting two in one! I love that you can be an amusement park enjoying rides, but at the same time you can go and see all the wonderful shows with the animals. Especially if you get wet during a show, it is a lot of fun. Although the shows aren't the best I've seen. But it is still pretty amazing to see what these animals can do, especially if its your first time. There are a couple really good rollercoasters, and there are good ones for the little kids. It gets pretty hot, bring sunscreen. I had a lot of fun here, so will you.

Marine World is a very fun amusement park that combines water and animal shows, such as a dolphin show, sea lion show and a killer whale show, with great rides like roller coasters and giant swings. They have a 3D movie theater/ride, and a great food court. Their butterfly habitat is beautiful, and they also have Looney Tunes Sea Port, a great area for the younger crowd. It's a lot of fun, but be prepared for a lot of walking. The price is a little much, but children and teenagers love it. They have a huge Halloween night with special attractions and such, and it's just a fun place to go if you have an urge to get a little wet and hit a few rides all in one day.

This is a pretty fun place to go especially if you have not ever been or haven't been in a long time. My family and I used to be charter members before the park was sold to six flags so when i went recently i wasn't expecting much. The shows are pretty funny and there are still some animals that are nice to go and see. Bring food if you want to eat anything because as with any amusement park the food is expensive. its a bit pricey to park at $10 for the day (no in and out) but definely well worth it for the day. i bought a season pass because i could get a good deal on it but i wouldn't buy a pass unless you like to go on the roller coasters. i don't particularly like them but I've gone with people who do like them and they have a good time. some good clean fun for the whole family but not somewhere I'd go too many times in one season.

Six Flags Marine World is a great place to bring kids and it's so much fun for adults as well. We go there mainly to watch all the animal attractions since the little ones can't go on any of the rides yet. My kids really enjoyed butterfly world. It was so beautiful inside. My complaint is that the food there is SO EXPENSIVE!!
