For those looking for everything that comes in a $40 steak, Mahogany's is it. They use the same techniques like Ruth's Chris and others at this price point. They cook their steaks at 900 degrees, searing in ALL the flavor, then coating them with drawn butter. I have been there twice and both New York strip steaks I have had were right on (medium rare). They also pay attention to their sides (something many steakhouses ignore). All of their sides were full of flavor and seasoned appropriately. The service was first class. The staff was constantly refreshing our water, bringing bread (incredible bread), and was attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was upscale and intimate. This is definitely NOT a kid place, but rather a special occasion date night. So, for those who appreciate the prime steakhouse experience and the associated tab, I highly recommend Mahogany's. It is worthy of the cost and the respect of its peers like Ruth's Chris or Fogo De Chao.

Without a doubt, the best Steak in Tulsa. A co-worker and I go here on a regular basis. We have been to Flemmings, Does, McGills, but none can hold a candle to the quality of beef and the way in which Mahogany's Chefs prepare their Steaks. Might be considered a little pricey by some but this good of a steak is worth every last penny spent. Favorite menu items: Wedge Salad, Cream Spinach, Bone in Ribeye, and an after dinner drink such as a rusty Nail, or just simply a straight Drambuie. You must try it! I am happy to say that Mohogany is a great resturant. The reason they put a tax on the alcohol is because its required by the state. Every place has it, and if they dont- its because they already include it in their drinks; which in turn makes their drink prices much higher! It loved the food, the service, and the management! Thank you! I highly recommend it!

They have started adding a "Liquor Tax" to all checks when it is purchased, which is about 14%. This is a very bad example to set and start, for tourists are going to run from Oklahoma! It is not suited for large groups, our food has never been cooked to order. how in the world can anyone think this is the best steak joint in Tulsa. you really must try Flemings, McGills, or Monte's chophouse. then you will most certainly change your minds. drinks are way overpriced for the watered down conncoctions, and the waitstaff we had could not even answer appropriate questions about wine selections and pairings. It is dark, noisy, and seating is way too close. the only reason one viewer gave this restaurant a good review is because he got his meal for free. We had a party of 4 for a birthday celebration in a private room. We all ordered the top steaks, salad, lobster bisque & wine. After salad the manager came in and said there had been a mistake & the room was double booked. He offered to pay are complete bill if we would move to the main dining room, which was about 10 feet away. Of course we took him up on it, the move took 10 seconds, and we enjoyed a fabulous meel with more wine, desserts, coffee and brandy. Everything was wonderful- a real class operation. I usually think a steak house is a steak house. But I must say that I visited Mahogany with some business associates last week and had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. It was cooked perfectly, served professionally, and my filet was simply succulent. No avant-garde cuisine here, just excellently prepared steaks. The seafood appetizer platter featuring lobster, shrimp, calamari, crab cakes, and smoked trout was good as well. We also tried the potato gratin side dish and it was rich & delicious. Great wines offered, many premium magnums available, but very pricey. Actually everything is pricey, but if you're a steak lover you owe it to yourself to try this place at least once. The decor is contemporary steak-house. The service is very professional but can be a little slow at times, especially when they're busy. They also have a private room for large groups.
