My husband bought me a gift certificate for half-day body treatment a few days before our wedding. I got a massage, a facial, and I got to take nap in this amazing waterbed contraption where you are surrounded by warm water. So amazing. I loved it all, until I went to leave, and they asked for $60. I had already tipped the girls who worked with me, so I knew I shouldn't have to pay any more. Turns out, when I booked and told them what the gift certificate was for, they added in an extra service. I got a better facial than I was supposed to, I think. I protested, and told them that I had asked for exactly what was on the card, and they dropped the charge. But I worry that this might be a common scam to get mroe money from gift cards. So, if you go, enjoy it, but make sure you get what you pay for, and only what you pay for! more

This salon does it all from haircuts to manicures/pedicures to massages and speciality services (facials etc). An absolutely beautiful building and interior. Perfect for that luxurious feel of a day at the spa! All hairdressers are well schooled and experienced. Prices are mid range but can be costly if you are buying lots of services at one time. Love this experience every time I go! more

Gadabout is a great hair salon and day spa with several locations in Tucson. I've had my hair done there once, and it was fine, though pricey. What keeps me coming back are the day spa services. Waxes (my eyebrows have never looked better) and massages are especially nice. This is a great place to consider buying someone special a gift certificate to. more

My sister-in-law first told me about this place when I needed a haircut. She told me to go here for haircutters that will do a fantastic job and I must admit, she was right. My hairdresser takes his time and will work with you to give you a cut exactly how you want it. The only drawback is that you get what you pay for. It costs an arm and a leg but I think it's worth it. more

You can do something simple like get a manicure, or you can go all out and spend the day at Gadabout...it is the ultimate place to pamper yourself! The day spa offers a variety of services, such as haircuts, manicures, pedicures, and massages. They keep up-to-date on the latest skin treatments and the people who work there are very professional and knowledgeable. The prices are a little above average compared to the rest of Tucson, but well worth it! more
