Excellent selection of paper, pens, and supplies. The salespeople are knowledgeable and helpful. I shop here regularly at the start of each semester to replenish my supplies. They also have drafting and drawing materials. Avoid all the chains and shop local to support Troy's downtown area. Hours are from 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Rite aid has some great deals, especially with their rebate program. Their rebate program is all on line, and you don't have to send stuff in, you just submit on line. They have a lot of free after rebate stuff, which is great to try new products. This store in Troy is larger than other ones in the area. Although it is hard to make a left onto and then into the store off hoosick street, I guess there is not much you can do about it.

This store opened up in January, and I have so far been very impressed with it. They have extremely reasonable prices compared to the Goodwill right up the street. Everything in this store is generally very clean, and it is all well displayed. The staff does a really nice job at maintaining everything.
Additionally, their prices are so reasonable that they keep moving their merchandise. This is good because every time I go in there I am able to see a store with a lot of new things. Also, the store is not so cluttered.
They have different colored item tags frequently on sale for half off. Even though the sign says it's only for clothing, I am frequently surprised when the cashier applies that color discount to normal items.
Additionally, the staff has always been very nice and attentive here, which is a plus. They aren't the fastest at checking people out, but considering everything else, it's worth the wait in line.

I went here to look for an outfit to wear to a costume party. I needed to find some authentic retro clothing. I did not really find what I was looking for, but was surprised to see that they sold some new clothing there. Most of the clothes there seemed very modern. Their prices did seem a little high for a thrift store, but all of the clothing was in good shape.

I went to the clifton park location of this store. Freihofers has excellent bread and the best mini chocolate chip cookies. The bread is usually close to expiration date so it is a good idea to eat it fast or refrigerate it so it does not mold. A couple of times we had to throw it away because it did mold. Other than that they have great deals on everything. They sell bagels, English muffins, cookies, dough nuts, cakes, breads rolls and other pastries and random food items.

Irish or not this store has a lot of neat stuff. I love the big comfy wool sweaters! If you are looking for a cool gift for someone who is Irish, they have a lot of items with family names on them. They are located in downtown Troy, easy to get to and I've never had a problem with parking.
