The food is standard diner fare, but Alexi's has great breakfasts, especially the belgium waffles with fruit and whipped cream and the tasty sausages and hash browns, which aren't too greasy. It has a homey atmosphere on the weekends due to loyal clientele from the surrounding area. A nice place for all ages. Try the cappuccino, too!
Pros: Good breakfast food, Nice on weekends, Fun for all ages
Cons: Crowded Sundays, Food is standard

If you are looking for a nice meal and a good home brewed beer, then go to Brown's Brewing Company in Troy, NY.
The food ranges from awesome burgers to steak and ribs. There are salads and wraps for those interested in the rabbit food.
However their main attraction is the home brewed beer. There are about 7 or so varieties, from an Oatmeal Stout to a Raspberry Ale. All of the beers are delicious.
Nothing beats a Revolution Burger and the Oatmeal Stout.
Highly recommended.

I had gone to this place several times when it was the Troy Pub. At that point in time their beer was good and so was their food. However, when they switched to Brown's Brewing Company, their menu changed and I feel that their selection and quality has gone down, while what has remained the same is just their atmosphere and their beer.
I would only recommend going to Brown's Brewery if you are a beer drinker. They will have a lot to offer you if you go there for that. However, if you are looking for good food, I recommend you go somewhere else that has more selection and better quality.

This restaurant serves the best Chinese food I've tasted in 47 years. The chef is an award winner, check out the framed newspaper story on the wall, naming him best in the capital district. Seriously, he rivals Chef Gordon Ramsey of Hell's Kitchen. Hell no, he's better. Paradoxically, this is an unassuming, smallish restaurant, part of a strip mall across the road from Hudson Valley Community College. And the prices are startlingly economical. They offer a limited selection, of superlative taste. China Wok is is a hidden gem, and well worth your discovery.
Pros: Award-Winning Chef. Need I say more?
Cons: I don't care about ambience when I'm blessed with the world-class taste of these select dishes.
