The Plum Blossom without doubt has the best Chinese food in Troy. They have an extensive menu with traditional Chinese food as well as a menu of Plum Blossom specials. The highlight of any trip to the Plum Blossom is the interior decorations. They are intricate and beautiful wood carvings everywhere you can see, all done by the owner of the restaurant. The food is delicious, the atmosphere relaxing and the service is great - the perfect dining experience at a very reasonable price.

My wife and I have been going to Verdile's regularly for over thirty years. Now that the kids are pretty much grown, we go at least once every couple of weeks. The food rivals that of Boston's and NYC's Little Italy, and the service is superior. The waiters pamper you, and the bus boys never leave a water glass empty.
Price-wise, you can't get better food - and it's the most consistent of any restaurant I've ever been to. As an Italian (and as a guy who cooks for three hours or so every night for the family), I'm pretty picky. I bring all of my clients there for lunch/dinner - and once they go, they're hooked.
There's nothing (Italian) on the menu that isn't top notch.
Some tips for first timers:
For your side macaroni, order the Verghetti. It's their homemade pasta. You won't be sorry.
Get there early, go to the bar where they bring out the best white pie continuously. Don't overload and spoil your dinner, I've seen it happen all too frequently. On Fridays and Saturdays, they also bring out garlic knots.
If you like it, they do calamari better than any restaurant, and probably better than your grandmother's. Never chewy, always mild and delicious. The calamari marinara is by far the best I've ever tasted, and I order it everywhere I go if it's on the menu.
Like the other posts here attest, the carrot cake and salad can't be beaten. I'd add the chocolate decadence to that list too.
A tip for casual customers:
Even though they don't take reservations, if you're planning an outing for 8 or more people (we've had over 20 on occasion), give them a call ahead of time and say this: I know you don't take reservations, but I just wanted to let you know we're coming in at what time with however many people. They'll be ready for you.
Pros: Always great, reasonably priced, great specials
Cons: Tough to park sometimes - it's pretty popular.

Plum Blossom sets the standard for chinese food in the area. With fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a beautiful decor, there is no comparison to the many strip-mall or delivery-based chinese food joints nearby.
My family has been going to Plum Blossom for as long as I can remember, whether for a special dinner out, or for a quick lunch stop, it has never disappointed. Both my sisters and I have requested to be brought on dates there, when given the option, over perhaps pricier or more out-of-the-way places. The food is reasonably priced, although admittedly we usually stick to the combination platters, with the usual inclusions of fried rice, wonton soup, and an eggroll with your entree. I am sorely confused at anyone saying that this restaurant is overpriced (as I have seen on some reviews) I am a struggling young adult (as we all are in this economy, right?), and I have had great take-out from Plum Blossom, dinner for two, to be had for around $20.
I love the General Tso?s Chicken, my husband loves the Sweet and Sour (I know, we?re adventurous! Lol).
For atmosphere, service, and food is place is wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who wants chinese food.

I am Italian and consider myself a pizza eating expert. No matter where I visit, I order pizza to try the pizza in that region. DeFazio's pizza was the absolute best I ever had..crust was crispy and tasty; the topping (Florintine) was absolutely delicious. Then I had the homemade fettucine..almost as good as Mama's, and the sauce (putinesca) outrageously good. I've told many food loving friends about this gem..

Unfortunately, my insurance plan changed and I found myself searching through the directory of dentists as I'm sure many other people have. I came across Matthew Clemente and decided to give him a shot. I'm sure glad I did because I love everything about his office and staff. Everyone from the receptionists to the hygienists to the dentists themselves are wonderful. I never have to sit long in the waiting room to be seen and when I call for an appointment, I can usually be seen in the same week. Great dental practice!

I have gone to Holmes and Watson several times. The very first time I went, it was for a banquet taking place on their second floor. That time was a disappointment because even though the food was of a decent quality, it was bland and did not have any personality.
Subsequent visits to Holmes and Watson have been much more satisfactory. They have a decent sized menu with lots of options. Their menu has a lot of sandwich selections as well as cooked meal options. Their lighter faire, such as salads is also wonderful. I have ordered a chef's salad and received a plate of salad covered in cold cuts, which though not necessarily healthy was fulling and really a decent surprise.
One of the down sides to Holmes and Watson though is that their meals do not include fries, but potato chips. That really is a shame though because they serve some really good waffle fries. You just have to order them separately.

Excellent selection of paper, pens, and supplies. The salespeople are knowledgeable and helpful. I shop here regularly at the start of each semester to replenish my supplies. They also have drafting and drawing materials. Avoid all the chains and shop local to support Troy's downtown area. Hours are from 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday.

After more than a week of hotel meals this was a joy to find. Everything matched my notion of how a diner should be - from the efficient service , the generous portions of good food right through to the clean and tidy restrooms.
Great value into the bargain.
Pros: Easy to find, parking
