Prices are really no better than any other store and the staff adds little value. "Big sales" are meant to get you in the store only to find that the product is no longer in stock & they wont honor the price since it only applied to items in stock. Bottom line, I'd only go to Russo's to see something if they are geographically convenient, but I'd look for a better price on the web (froogle search, etc.) and order the item from an internet retailer or go to another local store that will match the price.

The staff is fairly helpful and knowledgable, and I've been occasionally shopping there since '95 when I bought my first acoustic guitar there. But I find their prices to be a notch down from the best, and the last two times I went in to buy my preferred brand of strings they were not in stock. As to why or when they would be available no one was forthcoming with information. It's also a difficult location if you're coming off of westbound 195.

They have tons of instrument accessories and are willing to help you out with the price when they can. Prices are very reasonable. They have lots of sheet music. We love going to this store because they really go out of the way for you!
