I wanted to comment on the staff of Mountain West. I ended up in there emergency room, and they were great. I feel to many people comment only when something is bad I like to comment on when something is good. I ended up in Salt Lake for my surgery but was appreciative of the staff, there care,and professionalism.

I have been forced to visit this hospital several times for myself, family and friends. They are horrible. The wait time at the ER may be under 30 minutes to get in, but you will wait for another hour before the doctor sees you. Don't be surprised if an ER visit for a broken bone has you there for 8 hours. I have had two doctors and many nurses here be abrupt and unconcerned about their patients. They made major medical mistakes when a family member stayed with them for two weeks. I would never willingly go here. If you can avoid it-keep driving to SLC!

I had my last baby at Mountain West Medical Center and I absolutely loved the OB department. The admissions process was very slow and long but the staff was friendly. I adored the nursing staff and the OB that was on call. My doctor did not make it to my delivery but the on call OB was awesome. It was a nice clean facility with great attention to my needs after deliver. I would highly recommend Mountain West Medical Center's OB department.

We have had two experiences at this hospital one was the ER for 7 hours we sat there while they tried to diagnois my daughter she ended up being life lighted into Salt Lake, The other was for myself and I had to stay for two days the second day for no other reason then my temp. was to high yet not once did they offer me a fever reducer. The doctors are alright I thought the nurses were either very understaffed or just simply didnt care they never even came in my room,My food tray sat there for about 5 hours until my husband removed it. They charge far more then the hospitals in Salt Lake Next time I would just keep on driving your better off.

This hospital is only three years old, and feels very modern and clean. The ER is very quick, and is touted as only having less than a 30 minute wait time to be seen. The nurses in OB are wonderful, and because it is a small hospital, you truly feel like you are getting individualized care.
