Horrible customer service! I have NEVER written a review of a place before, but I am so disappointed that I feel I have to. I defended my doctoral dissertation yesterday. My partner was away on business and could not be there. He felt horrible that he couldn't be there and so he ordered flowers through 1800 flowers and arranged to have them delivered to me at my apartment in the morning so that they would arrive before I left for the defense. 1800 flowers contracted through Prescott Florist in Toledo. After my defense that afternoon, I checked my voicemail and had one from a driver from Prescott saying that he had a delivery for me and to call him back. This message was left at 1:30. I returned the call at 2:45 and no one answered. I waited and called back. Then I tired the 1800 number I found online. Still no answer. I tried 10 times before 5pm, and also sent an email. My partner called 1800 flowers who sent a "wire" to the florist requesting that the flowers be delivered to the restaurant I would be at that evening. Still no delivery. Hoping that the florist would be responsible and call me the next day, I waited until 1pm to call them. I explained the issues, and they said that they would deliver it this afternoon. They said that they closed at 3pm in the summers (no mention of this on their website that says 5pm) and that they didn't know that it was supposed to be delivered in the morning yesterday. I asked why they didnt return my email, respond to the 1800 flowers wire, or just call me to rearrange delivery when they were not 'able' to deliver it yesterday, and they replied that they waited for the customer to call them. I asked about a discount for the sender, at least on the delivery fee, and they refused. The woman I spoke with just kept saying that they would redeliver- she not once offered an apology for the confusion or anything else. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a florist, and no one I know will ever request their services in the future.
