With Gammage auditorium being one of Frank Lloyd Wright's last designs, this structurally interesting design is sure to be a place to see for an FLW fan. The auditorium itself is kept immaculate by friendly staff and I have always been happy with our seats, whether they are in the 10th row or the back of the balcony. The seats themselves are reasonably comfortable and the bathrooms are kept nicely. It is a hard walk for anyone who isn't overly mobile, so think twice before you come if this is you.

Gammage is cool simply because of the architecture. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is one of the true landmarks of the Phoenix area and it's worth visiting just to look around.

Gammage is cool simply because of the architecture. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is one of the true landmarks of the Phoenix area and it's worth visiting just to look around.
The acoustics are great and I've never had a problem with hearing anywhere in the auditorium. You can also see the stage (barely) from any seat. However, it does get steep in the upper tier and it makes me quite dizzy to sit up there. If you can get a seat on the front row of the lower balcony, I believe that is the best place to sit other than the very first rows on the floor.

This building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and it's apparent in the unique design. IT's located on the ASU campus and is a great place to catch one of the many musicals that come through Phoenix. The balcony seats are really high up but it's still a great experience! If you are an ASU student - you can usually get discounted tickets to sit in the balcony.

This place is really nice. The seats are very comfortable for sitting through a 2-3 hour musical. The view is pretty good from most seats. They have pretty good snacks to choose from during intermission, but a little pricey, which is to be expected. The only thing that I didn't like about this place is the parking. It is a little bit of a walk in the heat of the day in the summer for the matinees, but not so bad the rest of the year. I also would recommend buying lower level seats for those who have trouble walking upstairs.

Great view from every seat, but the walk to your high perch is enough to spin your head. Don't bring Granny with her cane. Opera glasses & snacks and drinks available. Acoustics are wonderful. The staff are helpful & available. Parking is good. The bathrooms are clean and well tended. Nice theatre.

what a great way to see some of the best broadway shows without having to go to New York. I must say that I personally don't like sitting in the top tiers and if I couldn't get a lower seat I wouldn't go. I have seen several shows here such as Phantom of the Opera and Wizard of Oz and they were both wonderful. Going to see plays is something great to do with your family. Prices may seem high for some play but they are worth it.

One of Frank LloydWright's last designs, the Gammage Auditorium is one of the landmarks in phoenix/tempe area. It is a beautiful structure. It hosts all the major broadway shows. It also hosts variety of talk shows, recitals, dramas and lectures. TIckets sell out fast, so you are better off buying them couple of weeks in advance. Great place for a first date.

Gammage is a great place to see live theater. Arrive early because parking sometimes is a problem. It's a beautiful venue designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The only problem is the higher your seat is in the balcony, the acoustics are sometimes not so good (meaning you have trouble understanding what the play characters are saying). But you can see from just about any seat in the house.
