A deifinte HIT during the summer 12/29/2005

Can't afford to take the little toddlers to the local waterpark?! The Tempe TOwn lake is a wonderful FREEBIE!! During the long summer days, Tempe town lake's free splash park is a great way to chill down! Bring the toddlers and the little older tykes to this splash park and stay all day! The water attractions here at the park are a hit with the kids, and parents as there are plenty of seating areas around the water. There are many other things to do at the park as well such as rent a paddle boat, take a ride on the ferry which goes up and down the man-made lake. If you are going to play at the splash park i suggest getting there semi early as it gets crowded. Wonderful FREE thing to do during the summer! more

A nice chage of pace in the city 12/15/2005

When Tempe Town Lake first came to Arizona, I sure was skeptical about a lake in the middle of Tempe. But over the years, it has become a landmark in the city of Tempe. Attached to the lake is Tempe Beach Park which draws some great activities. They have live concerts, beach volleyball, and more. It is also a great place to have a picnic and watch the boats and canoes go by. more

Fun for everyone 8/17/2005

Tempe Town Lake is a nice change of pace for desert dwellers. You can rent paddle boats or canoes, soak up some sun or enjoy a great concert under the stars. There are frequent concerts and festivals here so it's worth checking out often. The Tempe Beach Park area has a picnic area and splash park that is great on a hot day. The splash playground demonstrates how a drop of rain becomes part of the city's water supply. There are sand volleyball courts and grills available. more

Prime Spot for a Picnic 8/15/2005

Tempe Town Lake is one of my favorite places in Arizona. It's a huge park right on a man-made lake. There are tons of places to have a picnic and then afterwards you can walk along the water or hop on one of the boat rides or rent a paddleboat or canoe for an hour. The park always hosts a few concerts and other events throughout the year so you can almost always find something going on! more

Perfect little park 8/12/2005

This park is part of a beautiful area. You can rent paddle boats or party boats and go on the lake which I have done and it is very fun. In the summer there is carnivals and concerts in this park and the view of the lit-up bridge at night is breathtaking. Perfect for a romantic walk or a fun rollerblade run! more

Lots of things to do here 8/5/2005

Tempe Town lake is a blast to take the kids to. We had the best time at their water play area. They have fountains that shoot up, a slide, sand/water area and the best thing is that it is free! The lake is gorgeous and the park is so clean and well kept. We love going back again and again. more
