I have a shop nearby and eat here as often as my body can take it. Tasty food, lots of choices and at a price that can't be beat. The owner is very friendly and they have never messed up my order. You can also get the lunch buffe to go. One of Tarzana's little treasures.
Pros: Good food, great price
Cons: Parking is tough, in shopping center.

I love this place- everything about it- the food, the service, the location, the ambiance. I go there with friends every chance I get- it really is a great gathering ground. I usually get my favorite- the BBQ Chicken Chopped salad, which is always tasty, alwasy fresh, always satisfying, and I love the tortilla soup- thick and creamy- perfect for an appetizer. Of course, the sourdough bread and butter in the beginning is the best- its hard not to eat too much of it. If I have nowhere to go, and no idea what I want to eat, I usually end up choosing CPK because it always leaves me feeling happy!
Pros: Food is always fresh and delicious
Cons: prices keep going up :(

From the outside I thought it was a coffee shop and we dropped in for a quite snack. The place is beautiful yet very comfortable. The bread came with the two customary olive oil bases, which seems so had to find anymore. My roastbeef sandwich had so many much flavor, I was really surprised. The cigars (beef in a fried dough) were fun, tasty and I so enjoyed the dips that came with them. Even the fries were presented in a packaged cone. Great menu. I didn't want to leave.
Pros: Great Atmosphere

Esther's Studio is a little gem of a hair salon located on busy Ventura Blvd. right across from VIP's coffee shop. Her styling is superb as is her attention to coloring. Her prices are not inexpensive but if you can get an appointment, she is well worth it.
Her clients are very loyal and will come to her from all over Southern California, even when they move miles away and so her book is usually full. Her studio is bright and cheerful and friendly and you might even see a celebrity in the next chair.

This is my favorite place to get pizza! There are a ton of toppings to choose from (try the mortadella or the salami!) and it's all fresh and delicious.
The crust is perfect-- Not too thick, not too thin, and it has that toasty 'pizza oven' taste that places like Pizza Hut and Dominoes can't duplicate.
Pros: Tasty pizza, wide variety of toppings
