If you like Mediterranean or Israeli food this place is great. They carry much more food than falafel including high quality meats like Shwarma. I love to eat here because of the friendliness, quality and speed of preparation. This is more of a carry-out than sit-down place but they have tables and chairs and televisions.

My husband is from Italy and seldom wants to eat out at Italian restaurants since he is a wonderful Italian cook. We tried La Finestra ("The Window" in Italian) and we have been going back ever since. A small, family style trattoria owned by two brothers from Italy. Great pizza with thin crust. Daily specials. Great Osso Bucco! Excellent service!

This small restaurnat is in a small strip mall. Shai, the, owner , is very pleasant and helpful. The fries and falafel are prepared when ordered. He also has shwarma, latkes and a few other items. His salads and dips are homemade. His hot sauce is hot!!! There are pickles, pickled cabbage, turninps for yout ot help yourself to . Soda from the fountain is refillable. I really like his potato salad and coleslaw. Plates get you your entree, a "dry' Israeli salad and a choice of 3 dips/salads and 2 pita. Closed Fri night, Sat and major Jewish holidays

This is a find. It is a small, somewhat unknown authentic Mexican style restaurant that produces some of the most amazing spice-laden dishes. On the corner of Shirley and Ventura Blvd., it's not difficult to find but probably not on most people's radar. It is one of the few places in the valley that has menudo, authentic menudo available most days of the week. It's as if someone plucked this establishment right out of Mexico and put it in Tarzana. Whoever was responsible... THANK YOU!!! Real Mexican food at real reasonable prices.

I suggest you spend some time reading through the menu. There seems to be no end to what you can order here. The bread is out of this world. You should also get to know the owner is the one cooking the food. I never saw much of him all the times I have been in, but I found out he is the one who has been cooking my wonderful meals. You need to go try it for yourself, and don't be afraid to ask to change or add something to your dish.

I have a shop nearby and eat here as often as my body can take it. Tasty food, lots of choices and at a price that can't be beat. The owner is very friendly and they have never messed up my order. You can also get the lunch buffe to go. One of Tarzana's little treasures.
Pros: Good food, great price
Cons: Parking is tough, in shopping center.

"From the first time I went here in '97 (yes that's over 10 years ago) I've been impressed by how consistently fresh the food is. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to sushi. I would pick Tsune over Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills, both times Ive been there Im disappointed. Top of my list is Urasawa in Beverly Hills (but no, I dont want to sell my parents house to be able to afford to eat here again.) So, when Im in the mood for HUGE portions, SMALL prices and EXCELLENT sushi, I go to my old friend Tsune. Very FRIENDLY Staff. Sorry Tsune, there arent enough stars in here to rate your restaurant.
Pros: Good parking, good sushi, good service, great prices. What more could you ask for?

With their food, of course! Let me tell you, the pad thai at Thai BBQ is amazing! Wow. It is sweet but not overly so. I also really enjoy their coconut chicken soup because I love sour soups and it is very lemony.

From the outside I thought it was a coffee shop and we dropped in for a quite snack. The place is beautiful yet very comfortable. The bread came with the two customary olive oil bases, which seems so had to find anymore. My roastbeef sandwich had so many much flavor, I was really surprised. The cigars (beef in a fried dough) were fun, tasty and I so enjoyed the dips that came with them. Even the fries were presented in a packaged cone. Great menu. I didn't want to leave.
Pros: Great Atmosphere
Cons: Service was a tad off
